Observation  by Grey Wonderer 12 Review(s)

I, too, would find it unnerving to have a shadow but it would certainly make me watch my words! Great stuff GW!

Author Reply: And a shadow that wouldn't explain why he was following you would be twice as annoying. Thank you for the review!

Oh, GW, this was beautifully perfect! Of course, I had a general idea of what Merry was up to, but not that he was up to it so *literally*! LOL! And I wasn't a bit surprised to learn it was because of Frodo's advice.

What I loved best about this is the lesson *Saradoc* learned. He was already a very good Master of Buckland, but now he would become an even greater one, because he would never want to let his son down, or accidentally "teach" him something that he should not.

I wonder what would happen if Merry ever gave the same advice to Pippin...

Author Reply: LOL I was thinking of how impulsive Pippin can be and I decided that if anyone were watching Pippin then Pip will still do whatever came to mind first! The lesson that Saradoc learned in this case would be lost on Pippin completely. LOL

As to if Pippin would follow Paladin about, I don't know. If he did then I don't think it would last nearly as long because Pippin would probably confess instantly what he was doing the very first time his father caught him!

Thanks for reading!
