Bravo, Cathleen!! I'm loving Tulip and I'm loving Pippin, though he is being horribly naughty. I'm eager to learn more about his new "friend".

I love the mushroom ring :-)

Author Reply: Hi Pearl! Yes, he is being a wee bit naughty, isn't he? I'm very pleased you're liking Tulip and Pip together. And I'm finding my own explorations of the Faerie world as fascinating as Pippin is!

Let us hope that Pippin's and Tulip's hunger will stop him from chasing that "willowhisp" of a fairy. But with a pocket full a mushrooms that may not happen soon.

Author Reply: Yep, a pocketful of mushrooms oughtta keep Pippin going for a bit anyway! Thanks so much for your comments!

This fairy lass is quite the trickster. But she'd best lead the child back home if she wishes to torment him further in the future.

Author Reply: Larner, thank you for your comments! Pip will make it home soon enough but he and Tulip have to have some adventure first!

He scratched behind Tulip’s knitted ears to soothe her. She grunted with pleasure and grudgingly forgave him

I'm enjoying this adorable story so much. But ohh, Pippin's poor family will be frantic with worry, and how can a wee hobbit lad survive on just a few mushrooms and some water? *frets*

Author Reply: Thank you Shirebound! I'm so pleased you're enjoying my little tale and I so appreciate the FB! Don't worry, I imagine a hobbit as resourceful as Pip will manage to find more than mushrooms, hehe! (And mischief....)

I'm so happy you're posting this here. I've been traveling, and haven't yet been able to get over to the Challenge stories to read them.

This is darling! I love Tulip, and I love Pippin's wonderful imagination in allowing this special playmate into his life. (And of course Tulip is most fortunate to have a lad like pippin to bring *her* to life.) I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you so much Shirebound! I'm so pleased you like little Tulip - she has been a great deal of fun to write thus far and she has many more adventures ahead to share with Pip. The next chapter of this tale will start Pip and Tulip down a wee bit darker path so he will need her voice of reason. I so appreciate you taking the time to review this!

I think I am going to enjoy the adventures of Tulip and her hobbit. Pippin has a very good imagination.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I hope you DO enjoy the rest of this story and I appreciate you taking the time to let me know you liked it!

Hmm. Interesting to see him following this siren song, and I find myself wondering who sings it.

Author Reply: Someone who he is going to be surprised and fascinated with! Whether that's good or bad remains to be seen....

Aha--his current best friend, is it? Dear Pippin and Tulip, enjoying life together. And she sounds to be a fairly wise piglet, even if she does take Pippin's enthusiasms perhaps just a bit too seriously. Heh!

Author Reply: Yes, I think Tulip is turning out to be the voice of Pip's conscience, or at least his oft-ignored common sense. Perhaps he needs a piglet riding on his other shoulder to encourage him to ignore Tulip? Thanks so much for reviewing my story!

This is a wonderful tale and I adore Tulip!!

"His grin widened as the petulant piggy graciously accepted his regrets."

"petulant piggy" . . . I love it! I could just hug her.

Your young Pippin is perfect as well. I eagerly await more :-)

Author Reply: Thanks so much Pearl! I adore Pippin and enjoy writing him. There are so many facets to his character to explore. I'm so pleased you like Tulip, thank you for letting me know and for taking the time to review - always MUCH appreciated!
