Firstly, welcome back! It's great to see you writing again. It's interesting to see the sons of Elrond like this. I particularly like Elladan's reflection on his dual heritage - his elvish side feeling the ghosts of Dunharrow; his mannish side fearing them. Elrohir's doubts about Aragorn are interesting. He has changed so much from the foster brother who left Imladris he must be nearly unrecognisable. The process of growth as Estel eventually becomes Elessar Telcontar takes place so rapidly. Although the twins helped to prepare and train him for this moment, he must take the final steps alone - and they're bound to wonder if he may stumble. Shame on the men of Rohan not remembering their saviours on the Field of Celebrant! Jay (PS - any chance of an update on 'Fear No Darkness'?) Author Reply: Thank you! It's good to be back. And I'm glad that their moment of doubting Aragorn felt at least a little bit natural. He's gone through a lot, and he's about to go through a lot more. Somewhere in there, it just seems natural to me that there would be a moment of hesitation for all involved. As for "Fear No Darkness," I regret to say that of all my WIPs, it's the one least likely to get an update soon. It's been on my mind, but I'm much further along on the others. VERY sorry about that. I'll try to get better, but I can't promise anything!

Love the thought of the two of them as open to the strengths and limitations of both their heritages that night. And the thought the whispers of the Dead influenced Eowyn in her final reaction is marvelous. Author Reply: Thank you for the review, and I'm glad you liked it. I was wondering if I was too far out on a limb with Eowyn and the Dead, but it seemed like a natural link to me so I went with it. I'm happy it worked for you!
