| Lovely, Jay. I figured it was Elrond and Elros. How hard it must have been for Elrond to see Elros die. But like him, I believe the peoples of ME were reunited one day--or perhaps I should say will be. It's too painful to think otherwise. Author Reply: I wanted a litle confusion between Elladan/Elrohir and Elrond/Elros. I knew I wouldn't fool everyone! I wanted Elrond to be there, even though it's probably not canon. Like you, I think Eru wanted his children to be united in the end. | |

| Sweet, yet sad. I have to admit at first I thought this story was about Elladan and Elrohir and was trying to figure out which one was dying. Then I saw Elros and knew! How sad for thost two brothers that they had to be parted but both were at peace with their decisions I think. Another wonderful story from you Jay! Ces Author Reply: Sorry - I intended you to think it was Elladan & Elrohir at first! I think Elrond probably wasn't there when Elros died - but he should have been. I wanted them to reconcile their differences. | |

| I read this I think on HASA the other night, and don't think that Hughes allowed me to comment on it. This is a beautiful story, and the thought a star burns in the heavens for Elros alongside that of the father of Elros and Elrond is lovely, as is the thought that Elrond would make the journey to Numenor to bid farewell to his mortal brother. I wanted Elrond to be with Elros at the end, even if a second star alongside Earendil isn't canon! | |
