Mask of Virtue  by Linda Hoyland 39 Review(s)
ShirelingReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/8/2008
Hi Linda

Thank goodness Aragorn and Faramir are prepared to listen to their instincts in this matter. As Faramir can attest it is hard to resist the King's insight and healing hands and I am sure the truth will out and justice will be served.

I do so love 'your' Faramir. . .you and I are clearly on the same wavelength when it comes to our favorite Ranger.

Thank you for sharing this story, I look forward to reading more.

Hugs

Helen

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I believe that neither Aragorn or Faramir would ever want to take an innocent life.Gondor is in good hands with them in charge!

I always write Faramir with dark hair, but we do see him in a very similiar light.Your story is the one I currently most eagerly await updates of!

I hope to post more soon,

Hugs,Linda

Ah, the plot thickens. What will the young accused criminal reveal? Trust Aragorn and Faramir to look beneath a deceptively simple surface for the truth!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review, my first for this chapter. I like to imagine that Aragorn and Faramir truly care about justice.

I loved your first chapter of "Mask of Virtue"! I'm waiting for King Elessar to get curious about the recaptured prisoner...

(And a quick note: "clothes make the man" is an aphorism (smart remark), in this case from Mark Twain. I love his comment, and hope you will, too: "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in society."

...hmm... guess Mr. Twain never heard of Lady Godiva! (Why do I have an Aragorn and Arwen plot bunny hopping around me?)

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review and welcome to my stories. I hope to post more soon. Thanks too for sharing the Mark Twain quote which is new to me. Let me know if you write an Aragorn and Arwen story,as I'd love to read it.

Hi Linda
I do enjoy stories that explore the beginnings of the friendship that Estel and Faramir will come to share.

There is clearly more to the young convict's tale than has yet been explored and I am looking forward to finding out just how his and Maglor's stories are connected.

Excellent logic here. Now to find out WHY he was in prison and WHY he needed so desperately to get out. And why the blankness in Maglor?

Author Reply: Thank you.I promise all your questions will soon be answered.
