Nice job. Quite interesting how you see Aragorn see and reacts to things. It's like you understand him a lot

Sometimes the only way to learn a lesson is the hard way. As a young child, I lived on a very busy street, and I developed a habit of running across it for various reasons if I was allowed outside to play by myself. (I was old enough to be allowed out alone, but apparently not old enough to obey several repeated warnings about crossing the street.) Finally my parents had had enough, and the next time I ran across the street I got the only spanking I ever received. I truly think it hurt my parents much more to do it than it hurt me to receive it, but I learned my lesson that time. I never ran across that street again.

I respect Aragorn's dilemma in this story, and I think you clearly showed just how hard it was for him to stand back and let Eldarion learn his lesson.

Painful lesson, that, but I respect Aragorn's wisdom - his backstory was quite an eye-opener. Very well written and detailed!

I think that's a very important lesson for a child, Linda, and it must pain the parents deeply to let it be learned.

Author Reply: Thank you for your much appreciated review. It cannot be easy being a parent at all.
