Ah, to see that healing granted, the warmth--and ability to accept that warmth--fully restored.

A marvelous series of vignettes, Bodkin. So beautiful. A keeper.

This is wonderful, Bodkin. I love the glimpses we see of Glorfindel through time, the hints of what he lost, and the overriding theme of basking in the sun.

Wow Bodkin, this was great!

There is so much that is giving me pause here! But I can very well picture Glorfindel like a large golden cat taking advantage of each spare moment to just stertch and relax under the sun... and muse aloud!

‘You make me think of a cat,’ Halatirno remarked. ‘Given the slightest opportunity, you curl up in the sun and sleep.’
‘There are worse ways to spend your time.’

This exchange made me laugh. And I really love the slow steady growth in Glorfindel until the final acceptance in Minas Tirith and his realization that he finally felt warm in Valinor.

Was he going home? Or was this, for all it appeared to be, the final exile? This, on the other side, made me shiver.

So, since it took a life long as his to finally find acceptance and wisdom to find sense in all that happens, I trust that I still have time to learn! :-)

Thank you very much. This was beautiful and most timely!

Every time I begin one of your tales, my breath is taken from me. I rejoice and am astounded by the beauty you evoke EVERY TIME...

this is a wonderfully compelling story. I loved the sun and the Elf. Beautifully written...

I'm putting this in my list of stories to nominate for next year's MEFAs...

You write absolutely wondrously beautifully!
