Author Reply: Not so much hereditary as a frequent rite of passage I think, in the Heirs of Isildur fostered at Imladris - they leave childhood, legs get long and gawky, their voices change, and then they see Arwen and want to be Beren to her Luthien, that is if they can get up their nerve to do more than stare. I think Arwen had experienced this if not every time, then several times before she met young Aragorn in Imladris. | |
