You must have posted this during another one of my no-reviews spells...

I really liked this inverse of a shore leave! I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with the contrasting images in this story, since we know that Aragorn and Faramir will run into problems. So what you're doing with this longterm--showing the variety of things that can exist in one particular place--I really like.

Well done!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you are enjoying the story and I promise that nothing too bad will happen to Aragorn and Faramir!

This was so incredibly cute! I really liked the image of Aragorn telling stories to all the children--a far better use of classroom time than meager recitation, if you ask me!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed Aragorn telling stories to the children.

No reason why the party can not stop and enjoy the water for awhile, time well spent!

Linda, as I told you before, I did enjoy this delightful vignette most thoroughly. It's so good to see Aragorn and Faramir relaxing and enjoying themselves on a sunny day by the sea. They so deserve it, and it's so like them to remember their men and their horses, and allow them to enjoy themselves too.

You made a good job of portraying a blissful interlude.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this revised version of my story. Aragorn and Faramir do indeed deserve this break.

Nice to see the guys enjoying a swim on a hot day. And the chibis at your LJ are adorable.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter. I love the chibis too.It was so kind of Whitewave to make them for me.

Ah, a perfect, peaceful afternoon along the road and the seacoast! I can SO see this!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I was thinking of the North Wales coast when I wrote this.

Trust Aragorn to set things right, punish the wrongdoer and correct the wrongdoing. I'm sure the inhabitants of the village will the end see what a great king he is.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm sure once things get better the villagers will like Aragorn.

I am glad Aragorn realized what was happening here, and hope sincerely that this unfair steward is the only one involved in the ill being visited upon the folk of the region. A nasty piece of work he appears to be, too.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I hope the steward is the only rotten apple too!He was a somewhat unexpected addition to the story,as my stories have a life of their own.I have a little surprise for you on my LJ.

I get the feeling that Brandir is not going to be content to merely evade capture.

It makes sense that the people would have no idea that Brandir was overcharging the taxes-- he'd probably just waited till Mardil went off to fight. (Reminds me of the Robin Hood tales, in which Prince John took advanted of King Richard's going off on Crusade, and his dismay when his brother returned...)

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm glad you liked the Robin Hood type situation here!

Gondor was a large realm; I'm sure it took Aragorn a while to assert his own brand of fairplay in all corners of it. A very plausible scenerio.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you found the story plausible.
