Beyond Hope  by Raksha The Demon 12 Review(s)
eilujReviewed Chapter: Prologue on 3/15/2009
A very interesting take on Beregond's actions, and one I haven't read before.

Author Reply: Thanks for the review; Eiluj - I'd been wondering how Beregond would have felt watching poor Faramir fade away after he'd broken his oaths as a Guardsman to save him...Thankfully, Beregond and Gandalf won't have to wait to much longer for a certain pair of healing hands to arrive.

I liked his look at events from Beregond's point of view very much.Poor man,his case brings up the dilemma of can you do evil in the service of good? I feel Aragorn eventually dealt very fairly with Beregond.I love the way you show his devotion to Faramir and his hopes and fears.

Author Reply: Beregond's a darling; one of my favorite Men in Tolkien's world. It's sad that he wasn't included in the movie ROTK. I felt that Beregond must have felt frustrated and sad when nothing could be done for Faramir in the HoH, and it appeared that he would die...Thanx for reviewing, Linda!
