On a Spring Morn  by Cairistiona 13 Review(s)

Indeed a beautiful tale--one of renewed life and joy, and a foreshadowing of the brighter sky to come!

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner! Yes, it wasn't all doom and gloom, like Halbarad likes to point out to Aragorn (rather painfully at times!). I'm glad you liked this little glimpse of the quieter side of Dunedain life. Thanks for the review!

Aww! That was a great story! I wish Halbarad lived!:'( So he has four children now. Were the other ones all boys?
God Bless!

PS. I have been meaning to review At Hopes Edge, but my computer has been acting up lately and whenever I tryed to click on anything it would freeze, I was very surprised that this worked!

Author Reply: Hi, Szepilona! I've been wondering if you were still reading At Hope's Edge--glad you have been, and drat computer problems anyway. I'm glad you liked this little vignette. I'm with you in wishing Halbarad had lived. *sigh* And you know, I'm not sure if his other children are all boys or not! I'll have to think about it. I know at least one is. :)

Good to hear from you again and thanks for the review!

Thank you so much, Cairistiona, for this lovely tale. Oh that I could have these two to help me at lambing time!

I love your one-off Aragorn and Halbarad stories as they provide such wonderful glimpses of the lives of the Dunedain and this one is a real treasure, especially as it is so good to see Aragorn in a moment of happiness when his hope is riding high. Thank you.

Author Reply: You're certainly welcome! It was a fun birthday gift to write. :) I can well imagine you could do with a Ranger or two at lambing... wouldn't that be something??

I'm glad you like the quiet glimpses... they do make a nice change from my angsty, battle-driven stuff. I think really, despite the angst-driven stories everywhere (including my own), Aragorn likely had many such moments where he could look around him and see that in *this* moment, life is peaceful and good.

Thanks for the review!
