I wonder what is Thranduil's plan? I hope it is a good one that will really help poor Elrond. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you.

Author Reply: Hi minuial, Elrond is in dire need of a good plan indeed! Hope you like what Thranduil is up to. I will update soon. Thanks so much for reviewing. Lai

Hmmm.... so just what is Thranduil up to? Curiouser and curiouser.... Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author Reply: Hi Fiondil, no guess? Thranduil is always a force to reckon with. Hope you like his idea to help poor Elrond. The next chapter is almost done. Thanks for the review and for still reading. Lai

Poor Elrond. It must be terrible for him to hear about the illness affecting his beloved sons and him not been there to help them. I'm really intrigued about how you will solve this situation. Looking forward to the new chapters.

Author Reply: Hello minuial, poor Elrond indeed! The news must be devastating for him. The victory is a defeat in the end. Can the situation be solved anyway? Hope to see you at the next chapters. They are already with my beta. Thank you so much for the time to review. Lai

Oh dear! Victory but not quite. Poor Elrond. His worst fears have just been realized. Maybe he can use a carrier pigeon to send a note to Erestor telling him how to improve on the antidote. Too bad the Elves don't have mobile phones. *LOL* Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: Hi Fiondil, yes a mobile phone would be great right now *grin*. Hope you like the solution Elrond will find or will the help come from a source he will not expect? The next chapter is almost done. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Lai.

Beautiful chapter. I always liked this sort of mental comunication between the elves. I'm glad that finally Thranduil will not have to worry about his sons anymore. Now it's time to make amends with Elrond and help his people deal with the losses they have suffered.
Great work. Keep it up.
Thank you.

Author Reply: I thank you for the kind review and the praise. I´m also fascinated by the elves mind powers. Thranduil must not worry any more but not all is solved yet. Stay tuned and you will be surprised. Thanks so much for the time to review. I really appreciate it. Lai

I finally found a free afternoon to actually sit down and read this story (reminded that I had wanted to do so when I saw your latest update). I think this is a real page-turner myself. I found myself caught up with the story right from the start. Galadhion is my favorite character here (next to Glorfindel who is *always* my favorite character *grin*) and I have liked the interplay between Elrond and Thranduil, the former with feelings of guilt and the latter consumed with anger, both of them trapped in memories of the past, although Elrond is more capable of seeing beyond this. It looks as if Thranduil is getting there himself, slowly but surely. Glorfindel has been way cool throughout, just the way I imagine him to be. I really liked how he told Thranduil off in this chapter. An angry Glorfindel is a glorious sight to behold. *LOL*

I suspected that Galadhion's condition was as much spiritual as it was physical. Of course we already know the outcome *grin* but it will be interesting to see how it comes about.

And I saw that anonymous review (don't you just hate them!?) about this story sounding like an afternoon soap opera. Apparently the reviewer has never seen one because most of them are well written with interesting character and plot development, so really, the person was paying you a compliment, even if he or she didn't intend one. *grin*

Looking forward to seeing how this ends.

Author Reply: Hi Fiondil, I´m so glad you have finally found the time to read my story and I´m even more happy that you like it. I really appreciate your review, because I´m following your stories also but I´ve never had the courage to review because that´s not my playground and I´m much too unexperienced with the topic Valar or SIL. I like Galadhion also very much and the more so because I´ve made him up and he has developed over the chapters with me. The old conflict between Thranduil and Elrond was always fascinating to me, even when Tolkien did not really elaborate about this, but I could imagine some animosity between them Noldor/Sindar; Gil-Galad/Oropher). And Glorfindel is always out of question: He´s simply the most interesting elf in all of Middle Earth. And you are right about Galadhion´s condition;it´s a spiritual problem which will be clear in the next chapter. I´m so glad about your comment about the annonymous review. I´ve never considered it this way. Anyway, thank you so much for your time to review and I hope you will follow me to the end. Lai

Hi again, I know I havn't reviewed recently, but I am still with you. Good chapter, I was so relieved that the antidote was found and it seems to be working. I could feel for all those parents lined up waiting for the medicine. It is very frustrating to know there is a cure, but be unable to provide it to your child. That could have turned very ugly, but I am glad the elves only resorted to glares and grumbles.

Thranduil was superb when he took time to talk with the waiting parents, even if he just gave them a touch or look, it shows he does really care for his people. With his own son in critical condition, he could have just rushed after the healers.

At least Elrond had enough sensativity to wait until he was asked for his help with the Crown Prince. But once again, it was Elrond to the rescue. "sigh" I will say no more on my feelings here. :)

I did like in an earlier chapter how you addressed the Thornil's feelings. Elrond's thoughts 'He could imagine how he would have felt if the situation had been reversed and another elf had done the work that he had usually been responsible for doing.' I wonder if Elrond would just step aside and allow another to take over his healing rooms. "Elrond swallowed before he uttered the apology which was long overdue. “I wanted to thank for your tolerance allowing my presence in your domain.” This was gallant of Elrond to admit that he did step into Thornil's domain, even if he was asked to.

I hope that Thornil has some triumph in this story. So far, he has been unable to help either prince.

Looking forward to another chapter.

Author Reply: Hi Robinscat, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me; I´m so glad that you are still following the story, despite your aversion about the Noldor elves and I´m glad that you like my wood elves and their King at least one bit. I imagine Thranduil as very caring for his people even if others see only the greedy and self-centered monarch. I can simply not agree with that picture and I could well imagine that he would first bring comfort to grieving parents and then rush after his son. I also think that Elrond would not have stepped aside in his healing rooms but if you like it or not he is superior concerning his skills and I see the palace healer not negativ but he´s a simple healer and compared to Elrond he must not be ashamed to ask for help but it was important for me to let Elrond act respectively and it must be by all means even for him benecessary to ask. And Elrond will soon learn that his skills cannot remedy everything. Hope you will follow me to the very end. The next chapter is already with my beta. Again thank you so much for your review. Lai

Hi. Finally something good happened. Hopefully Saeron is on his way to recovery. Now we have his brother to worry over. Lets hope that Elrond can help him too. And no more elflings will die from the illness. Great chapter. Thank you.

Author Reply: Hi, thank you so much for the review. I´m glad you liked this chapter. Yes, Thranduil has much to worry about and with Galadhion his problems will even increase, and this time Elrond will not be able to help. Wait and see. Hope to see you at the next chapter. It´s already done. Thanks for your time. Lai

Really, now I have to say; Poor Thranduil! You should think on giving him a chance to prove that he is a great elf like the others...

In my private universe, Thranduil is very, very clever, even cunning. He is
a formidable elf by all means. He would never behave like your Thranduil.
So, you can see how much I like your story and read with pleasure. It's your imagination and fine writing which did this!

Author Reply: Hi Irene, I cannot express how happy I´m about your kind words. I´m so glad you like the story so much but maybe when you bear with me till the end you will see that my Thranduil is not as weak and powerless as you think. I see him also as a powerful elf, the most interesting elf, in fact, above all others. That you find my writing `fine`leaves me speachless, because it´s not my first language and my beta readers have a lot of work to do to make this readable. Nonetheless many thanks for this encouraging review. Lai

Hi. This was quite a dark chapter. The situation is indeed desperate for Thranduil. Lets hope that things will start to improve soon and the darkness will be defeated (at least for the moment). Waiting for the next chapters.
Thank you.

Author Reply: yes, it was indeed and the King needs some respite. I will look what I can do for him. I´m glad you are still following the story and enjoying it. Thanky ou so much for the review. I appreciate every one. The next chapter is almost done. Lai
