What a sweet and tender drabble. I just loved the portrait you painted of Aragorn as a loving grandfather.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I love to imagine Aragorn as father and grandad.

A lovely ficlet and great moments between mother and son. Aragorn as the harbinger of spring breaking the Dark Lord's winter works well as Gilraen's vision, since Aragorn is of course instrumental in Sauron's defeat and her visions would naturally have centered on her son rather than on a hobbit Ring-bearer.

Awwwwwwwwwww. Very sweet, and nicely written without being overdone. Love the concept of Grandpa Aragorn.

That is a most exquisitely enchanting and tender vignette, Linda. I just loved the use you made of the imagery of the seasons to illustrate what Aragorn meant to Gilraen and his people.

I loved Gilraen's flash of foresight too. I think it worked perfectly because it gave us a vivid glimpse of the man the loving child would turn into.

Thank you very much for such a beatiful birthday present.
