From Wilderness to Cities White  by Larner 391 Review(s)

It was one thing we did not see when we visited your land last winter.

This is a marvelous gap filler, and very creative idea. What a very special conversation. I hope, when Frodo comes to the Undying Lands, Galadriel spends time with him, telling him even more tales that only she can.

Author Reply: I've always wondered why the Moon wasn't seen by the Fellowship while they recovered from Gandalf's fall. It was most interesting to figure out a possible reason why this might be true.

Lovely conversation Larner. Great timing too as I was sitting on the hill at Warwick race course watching the new moon rise this evening. The thinnest sliver against a lovely deepening blue. And then the ' hunter' was shining down on me while I was waiting for Shadow to finish in the garden before bedtime. Bonuses of living where I do.
Galadriel has many reunitings to look forward to.

Author Reply: She ought to have so many reunions once she returns to the Undying Lands, and hopefully will receive acceptance from many who condemned her when she left. Finrod will at last be able to embrace his sister once more as well.

Oh, a new story just published!
I will read it soon, but at the moment I prefer to continue "Second mum". However, I promise that this collection of stories will be part of my list :-)

Author Reply: I am so sorry to be so late in responding, but real life is not being easy on me lately. Am so glad you like "Second Mum"--one of the stories I love best of my own works.

And never shall I ever again think of mortals as being of lesser value in the eyes of Ilúvatar than are the Eldar.

Very nice! When the conversation started it was all about Frodo, but Galadriel expertly used it to find out more about Aragorn's intentions.

And in the end she decides that he is ready to receive the Elessar stone and the kingship. I totally agree with her!

Author Reply: We know that she was the one who conveyed the Elessar stone to him, and I do think she would wish to reassure herself that Arwen had indeed made the right choice.

Thank you so, Andrea!

Nice to see you back, the fanfic world has been quite silent for a good while, at least among my favorite people. I love the source of grace Frodo was Galadriel - allowing her to overcome her temptation and defeat her long-held fantasies of what she would do with the Ring.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: With my work and my health and other responsibilities, I just don't have the stamina I used to have.

At least she was able to realize what the Ring would do to her and turn away from it.

Thank you so!

Wonderful, I love it. Aragorn was very special indeed.(My birthday is 7/2.)

It' been way too long since something was posted to SOA.

Author Reply: Your story is coming, Tari--as I noted to Antane, my stamina isn't what it once was, and there are so many calls upon what time I'm granted.

Have a story I'm working on now and hope to get posted soon. And I so agree--Aragorn is definitely a special Man. No wonder I fell in love with him when I was thirteen!

Take care and God bless!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you like it! It's been a strange, difficult summer, and my asthma has been kicking up terribly since the beginning of May. It's finally getting better, but it's not been fun.

We'll have to meet again soon. You still living where you did?

Aragorn has had wise teachers, and was brought up well. It speaks well for him that his priority lies in renewing, not in dominating. He will be a worthy recipient of the Elessar.

Author Reply: Oh, I so agree, Kathy. He knows what's important, and it isn't necessarily power. Yes, no one is more worthy to receive the Elessar than he is.
