Now, this feeling of the King's I can certainly appreciate. Well done, and I too thank Raksha for the inspiration she gave you.

Author Reply: Thank you. I would imagine a carriage was very stuffy and confining.

Again, a perfect response to the picture Ellynn created. I can so see these thoughts, engendered in large part by the Ring, running through Boromir's head at the time, and the Ring triumphant that It had managed to finally catch the Steward's son by his fear for his city and his ambition to be the greatest warrior possible.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked my response to Ellynn's picture. It was interesting to write about Boromir for once and his tragic downfall.

I think that this is one of your best, Linda. How likely that this is one reason that in the end he was distant to Faramir, who in so many ways more closely resembled him than did Boromir. Wonderful!

Author Reply: Thank you so much, I'm delighted you enjoyed this. It just came to me while I was waiting for friends to take me to Bible study! I've always imagined Faramir having his mother's eyes.

Ah, living in the Pacific Northwest where so many days are like today, with the sky a pearly grey, this is one perception I find I share. Oh, but I do love Aragorn!

Author Reply: I love Aragorn too. It is usually cloudy where I am, but if we get a spell of cloudless blue skies, I quickly miss the clouds. They make the sky interesting.

Leaving her familiar home, especially one as wonderful as Imladris must have been a dreadful wrench. I like how you show that the new challenge of love and home-building with Aragorn makes it worth-while.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Arwen must have been very brave as I just can't imagine anyone making me want to leave familiar surroundings!

This made me smile Linda. I love the British weather and don't cope well with hotter temperatures. I can empathise well with Aragorn here. Fans are really no substitute for a refreshing dip!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm just like you, I wilt in a heat wave!

A king, though, could hardly doff his royal robes and plunge into the Anduin as the fancy took him.

What a picture that would be! :)
I sympathize with him. And I understand him - I don't like hot days.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I don't like hot days either! I fear we've all be watching if he did go swimming!

Oh, I'm certain that such longings overcame him more than once! Heh! Yes, a moment of anonymous freedom and spontaneous pleasure must seem so desirable to one such as he from time to time.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm glad you felt this true to life for Aragorn.

Poignant and gentle as she ponders her future.
