| Tee-hee - mistletoe! I can somehow see the young ladies slyly maneuvering Finrod - and Findalaurė, and for that matter any of the other Valinorean Elvish hunks - under the mistletoe for a sneak ambush. And I can definitely see Glorfindel and the other Wiseman Elves enjoying the joke (and getting ambushed themselves, of course)! I see that Finrod is already getting mighty tired of people commenting that he is depressed. But getting ready for Christmas should help with getting rid of that problem! Secret Santa swaps are fun - I have enjoyed taking part in such in the long-hair clubs that I am a member of. Everybody posts mysterious little statements, and some pics of the wrapped presents before they are sent out, and everybody also get to join in the fun when the presents are unwrapped, since the recipients also post pics (including usually action pics of the inevitable "hairtoys". And figuring out what to give - and make - is the greatest part of the fun. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Yeah, I'm sure there will be lots of maneuvering with the unwary Elves over the next couple of weeks. Secret Santa swaps are fun and there are many ways of doing it. At one party, we all brought gifts without putting our names on them, then drew a number for the order in which we would pick out an anonymous gift. For an added twist, you could exchange your gift with someone who came before you if you liked their gift better than what you ended up with, so in the end you might not even have the same gift and might even end up with your own. The first person to draw a gift was allowed to exchange their gift after everyone else had gotten one just to be fair. Anyway, thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much. | |

| this chapter just made my morning, even if im reading it on my phone... but thats what i get for waking up 9 mins before my bus got to my house ugg i hate mondays! but anyway, personal problems aside, great chapter as always :) i cant wait to see who everyone's santa is! but alas, that will be for another chapter Author Reply: Hi ladyevenstar. We won't know who everyone's Secret Santa is until towards the end, but we will be seeing the clues that Finrod receives from his Secret Santa and perhaps you will be able to figure out who it is before Finrod does. | Great way to begin the week. So Finrod is slowly discovering that Christmas can be fun for all sorts of reasons. I do hope you plan to fully describe the beautiful clothes for the party. Your clothing descriptions are vivid. Thanks again. Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. Descriptions will be minimal, I'm afraid, otherwise we'd be at it all night, though I will describe some of it. Since this is modern times, you can pretty much fill in the blanks with what you know in terms of what people generally wear at formal balls.
