Oh, how wonderful a look at the valiant warrior from the skies! And a most wonderful birthday to you!

Snomane's Howe must have become a popular monument in the ensuing years. He was faithful until the end, and deserved to be remembered with the respect given him.

Aha! So, the combination of a warrior maiden and a Hobbit together is closer to what he's accustomed to, eh? I like the idea! And thanks so for the comments on "A Moment of Light." I was glad to have the chance to explore that moment more deeply! Yes, poor Frodo, who is headed toward the worst portion of their journey!

awww! please dont be dejected... (starts singing Happy Birthday To You...) that was a nice one. i always loved Gwaihir and Landroval for rescuing Frodo and Sam, and for helping the Captains of the West. That was such a lovely dream you had. No wonder you didnt want to wake up. when i was a kid i always envied the freedm birds seem to enjoy, especially the. great eagles soaring way up there, it must be wonderful to see the world from such a vantag e point...

Yes, that's an eagle's point of view! Why bother to walk when you can fly! I wish you a very happy birthday :-) Author Reply: Hello Andrea, wish I could fly. Wouldn't that be great? Oh, the freedom of soaring through the skies, looking for a Snitch ... er, I mean a worm ... er, well, okay. I'm not a witch, so Quidditch is off the cards. And I don't fancy living on worms. Maybe flying isn't all it's cracked up to be ... Still, the odd (occasional) helicopter trip would be nice! Thanks for the birthday wishes, and for R & R-ing, M ;)

Happy Birthday! I hope you have an exhilarating flying dream tonight. I love the Eagles, and enjoy seeing events and people through their POVs. Author Reply: Hello shirebound, hope you enjoyed Landroval's pov, then! Unfortunately, I didn't have a flying dream last night. But I'm fairly sure Detective Robert Goren (from Law & Order: Criminal Intent) was in it somewhere, so that was a very nice birthday present from my own subconscious! Thanks for R & R-ing (and the birthday wishes!), M ;)

Poor Theoden and poor Snowmane. So long together and died together. Somehow that is appropriate but how grieved they must have been that such a loyal horse and friend was the cause, if horses can grieve. Namarie, God bless, Your berry :) Author Reply: Hello bloom, sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Poor Snowmane. Always getting the blame for killing Théoden, when it was out of his hands. Or should I say hooves? *grins* Personally, I blame the dart that felled Snowmane for Théoden's death. And the wicked Enemy that fired it. At least said enemy probably perished not long afterwards, and so couldn't slay any more innocent horses. Or brave kings. Thanks for R & R-ing, cuz. Hope you and yours are well, and that your book is a bestseller! Mrs Gamgee ;)

Aha! Hurrah for Merry, making things less disconcerting for the warhorse. I wonder if Windfola missed his old master. Author Reply: Hello Lindelea, sorry, I never got the notification for this review, so I didn't know it was here until just now! Hopefully Windfola did eventually find Dernhelm again - or at least made his way back to Rohan. The alternatives don't bear thinking about (shudders). Thanks for R & R-ing, M ;)

Very positive, indeed. Poor fellow. Author Reply: Hello again! Poor fellow, indeed. At least he got a marker. And the grass grew sweet and strong over his mound. Not that he can eat it ... *sniggers* I know. I'm bad. Thanks for R & R-ing, M ;)
