Have always loved stories regarding people searching for Imladris and meeting the Noldor guardians... wished they had use that for The Hobbit Movie... did you have a name for him?

Author Reply: I actually did have a name for him -- Soronúmë. This scene is part of a longer thing I am working on, but because I had to limit the word count, I ended up cutting out all explanation of who he was, including his name. When I get around to posting the longer piece this came from, this Noldor guardian will definitely get his name back!

Thanks for reading!

Oh, how perfectly stated. Boromir sums it up so perfectly!

So true - they were all called, even if they didn't realize at first they were. Not by chance at all did God draw them all together for their great tasks.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I just read the other day this passage from The History of the Lord of the Rings and it speaks of Boromir saying he was almost buried and the earlier drafts had no Aragorn. Thank God he was here in the final version! :) Love the ending.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I am glad that Faramir knew his brother's love. And then Aragorn's later, the king he loved all his life, even when only a longed-for dream he waited to come true.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

After reading The Fellowship, I could just picture Boromir, all dusty and sweaty at the council. *g*

This was a delightful moment before that amazing event.

Chilling as is everything to do with the House of Hador.

Like your original, this is a closer look at the scene from the book. With the snow slide here, it becomes one more opportunity for Boromir and Aragorn to realize that they need each other. Both of them had been trained from youth to LEAD. It really must have been hard for them to learn to co-operate with each other, as equals, for a time. Thank you for attaching the link. It was nice to re-visit the original. I like that you ended this with "Boromir was content to follow, FOR NOW". The discussion as to whether they could have worked together in the future, had Boromir lived, has led to several other tales for other days!
