I grieve for Durion, but rejoice that Legolas takes his companion safely away once the first aid is given.

Thank you for this story I have read your work for years. Your view of Thranduil and Legolas is much more reasonable than the movies.

Oh dear, just as I was thinking what a relief it must have been to Legolas to receive the first letter, another one arrives with what must be unsettling news. :( I'm enjoying this story very much.

Actually, Peter Jackson didn't forget Aragorn's age. What he did was delete 17 years from The Lord of the Rings, reducing the time span between Bilbo's own departure from the Shire on his 111th birthday and Frodo and Sam's later departure to 1 year at the most. At the same time, Jackson left Aragorn at the same age that he was at, in the book. That made Aragorn considerably older in The Hobbit movie trilogy than he would have been in the book, had he been mentioned in The Hobbit novel.

Oh, I am so thrilled to see you writing again!!! This is gorgeous so far, and I cannot wait to see what happens next! I hated Thranduil and Legolas' last scene in BOFA too....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FIXING IT!!! Just the hug was a vast improvement. I had to stop at that point and say, aloud, "he got a hug! Yay!" My family thought I was crazy until they heard what I was reading, and then they agreed with me. I also love young Halbarad. He is a new favorite of mine, and I am loving his chance to have more of a story. Don't stop! At the same time, I want to say....any chance you might be adding more to Hidden Agendas any time soon? So curious...Who is behind the plots???

Hello sheraiah, you are so right the last Scene in BOFA between Legolas and THranduil was horrid. THeir relationship disturbed me from the beginning of the three film but the end in BOFA topped all. I like your Interpretation so much better, much more believable.THank you so much. PJ have to read this. Lai

So, Legolas' incognito is already lifted, but he still does not know who Estel is. But there is time for that later. A poisoned arrow is no fun. I hope he will mend soon.

This is such a good story and Legolas is so humble and sweet. I guess Thranduil can see Aragorns greatness in advance as he sends his son to the Numenoreans. There is more to Thranduil than in the films and books. He and Legolas is some of my favourite elves. There are also many who doesnt like Tauriel as shes not a Tolkien character but I do. She took the first steps of loving a dwarf even if Its not canon either-which indeed Legolas does later and his big tolerance of all races. Many compliments to your story and Its fantastic that Tolkien gives us playground to fill him in! You do it well with descriptions and I can see it in my head when I read. Looking forward to more!
