Healing Hope  by Nieriel Raina 24 Review(s)

At least one of the three blaming themselves is now back on track to reality, and I rejoice that at least one of the pups survived. Poor little things!

(The one who grew up surrounded by dogs and my mother's kennel wants to save them all!)

And I see you share one of my own homonym bugaboos--the Sun peeked over the mountain's peak, piquing the curiosity of the cat. Heh! I'm always doing peak for peek.

Gilraen has still much to learn in living with elves. Her acting is infantile and embarassing. She´s the wife of a chieftain and the mother of a future king. I had expected more of her. I´m sure Arathorn had not approved of her accusations. I can understand her worry but this was an accident and if her son had heeded Glorfindel´s warning nothing had happened. I do so love your stories and writing. So much depth at showing emotions. I´m eager to read on and see how poor Estel will be healed. Erestor is the only one with a clear head right now. Thanks for continuing this wonderful story. Lai

Well done Nieriel,
guilt is such a hard emotion to rid oneself of. I could easily tell that Glorindal and Erestor were good friends. some times good friends are the only ones with the courage to tell you what you need to hear. Can't wait to read your other story.

thanks for the great chapter.

Well played, Erestor, well played. One down, two to go!

I was a bit ridiculously excited when the twins found the puppy. I felt awful for the babies when their mum was killed (and, honestly, felt sorry for the mum as well, since her attack clearly wasn't malicious), so it was nice to see one survive. Perhaps a puppy would be a good way to help Estel avoid a fear of dogs...

Thanks for another great chapter!

I'm really enjoying this story! There's so much psychological depth and realism to this chapter. As I was reading I wanted to shake all the characters and say, "It was just an accident!!" ... but I know full well that if I were involved in any way with something like that, I would be blaming myself too. It was quite a relief to see Erestor on the case. Elrond is lucky to have such a shrewd and compassionate friend pulling strings behind the scenes.

Thanks for sharing your work. I look forward to reading more!

Author Reply: Thank you! I've wanted to shake all these characters while writing this story! LOL! Except Erestor. He never really needs shaking. :)

Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to let me know what you think! It's greatly appreciated!

Hooray, Erestor to the rescue!!

Whew, very emotional chapter Nieriel. Everybody on the page is hurting. Can't wait to see what happens next. I can't help but feel that we're sitting on a powder keg waiting for a spark to ignite it.

really enjoying the story.

Author Reply: Don't you just love Erestor? I do. :)

At least one person is able to look beyond personal feelings of guilt and fear to see that this WAS an accident and that the others all need to lay aside the guilt and the fear to deal with what is needed now.

So glad you are able to continue onwards!

Author Reply: And do you expect anything less from Erestor?? ;)

Thanks for reading and commenting, Larner!

Life will happen, no matter how we hope to control situations and seek to keep those we love safe. All did as best each could to protect this child, but all need to accept and do the best they can now, as they could not control everything. We grieve for the child's pain, but know that he will grow up strong and capable, and will in his turn do all he can to help others he could not protect anymore than these could have kept him from all pain or injury.

Please continue this story! Its heartwrenching but so well written. It holds such strong love between the grown ups and little Estel!❤️How everyone takes so well care of him and his mother. Dont let this story end here.

Author Reply: I won't abandon this story. No worries. Life has just been hindering my writing and editing! But I'm glad you are enjoying it. :) Thanks for reading. New chapter posted.
