And now here you stand, a lord among your people, beloved by them. You are a credit to your father’s memory, and to me.

It's so important for Aragorn to hear that (and important for all of us to hear it from those we value). What a marvelous chapter. Both the depth and emotion of your story are wonderful.

Author Reply: <3 <3 <3 thank you so much!! All of your reviews on this have meant so much to me.

Some invisible, heavy power filled the room

That's wonderful imagery, and I like your depiction of Elrond.

Oh dear, Nethril's panic at the thought of losing Aragorn so soon is completely understandable.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! It’s been a long time since I’ve written Elrond, and I really enjoyed getting to do so here.

Hi Suzelle,

Loveeeeeeeee your stories regarding the Dunedain and the Noldor of Imladris.

Was a bit disappointed you had only Elrond alone to the Angle.

Would love to see your other Elves make new appearances please, showing up at the Angle such as Ravenne and Branor?

Le hannon.

Author Reply: Hi, thank you so much for your kind words! Unfortunately, it’ll just be elrond making his appearance here—for a multitude of reasons, he couldn’t have a whole entourage coming with him in his race to the Angle. If you want to read more of my elves in the Angle, though, Glorfindel and Merideth show up in my fic from a couple years ago, “A Bird Flies Out.” Thanks again for commenting!!

I love your writing and characterization. There is a core group of authors I follow on SofA, and you are among them.

One suggestion: I think you meant Gandalf was supine (on his back), not prone (on his front).

Author Reply: Thank you so much—that means a lot for me to hear!

(And thanks for the suggestion—funny what things we miss, even after the beta read is done!)

I've just caught this and its predecessor up. Great job. Really curious to see where this goes. Thanks loads for your hard work on it.

Author Reply: Thank you so much!! So glad to hear you’ve been enjoying it.

Oh wow, thank goodness! And how unexpected! Gandalf apparently needs all the help he can get, and with Elrond and Aragorn working together... *fingers crossed*

What astonishing detail you bring us. :)

Author Reply: Aah, thank you so much!! I'm so glad you're continuing to enjoy this. Gandalf's definitely got himself into a Predicament, the likes of which he definitely is not used to!

It's getting better and better!

And Nethril's swearing gave me such a good laugh and made my day... :D

Author Reply: Bwaaaahha, I'm so glad you appreciated that!! Thank you so much for commenting! <3

These women don't carry swords and don't go on patrols, but they ALL are badass!!!Yay for them! :)))

Author Reply: Yaaay, thank you!! I'm so glad you like them!!

It's so important for women to support one another, like these three are doing.

Author Reply: It really is!! It was very important for me to showcase that here, so I'm glad you appreciate it as well <3

So, after two really calm chapters, we get great action. And not just action, but also drama, suspense, horror... Well done!

P.s. I really like the reference to commanding the dead... :)

Author Reply: Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed! And omg, I'm so glad folks caught that reference :D
