| Oh my goodness, how unexpected! I can't remember reading any fic where Gandalf was injured. This is a very exciting story. You will command the dead but once, and it is not us. So the wights have knowledge of both past and future, but must live forever bound to a grim present. It's rather sad. Author Reply: Thank you so much! There's a lot of this fic that I had fun playing around with, exploring things I either hadn't seen before or wanted to leave my own twist on. The wights have always fascinated me..their (after)lives really are quite sad, especially as they don't have the same chance those other dead do to really redeem themselves.
