And the nineteenth king took the sceptre of his fathers, and he ascended the throne in the name of Adûnakhor, Lord of the West, forsaking the Elven-tongues and forbidding their use in his hearing. Yet in the Scroll of Kings the name Herunúmen was inscribed in the High-elven speech, because of ancient custom, which the kings feared to break utterly, lest evil befall Now this title seemed to the Faithful over-proud, being the title of the Valar; and their hearts were sorely tried between their loyalty to the House of Elros and their reverence of the appointed Powers.

The Three Towers by shirebound
A visit to the Tower of Ecthelion in Minas Tirith compels Frodo to return to the Tower of Cirith Ungol, accompanied by the King and the remaining members of the Fellowship. While Frodo struggles to recover lost or unclear memories, many of his companions find themselves making discoveries they did not expect. This story is based in book-verse, with bits of movie-verse interwoven at the author’s discretion. Angst/drama, but (being me) there's enough hobbity lightness to balance things out.

A Drabble by Any Other Name...? by docmon
At first a place for my Yule Mathoms Challenge entries, I'm now dubbing this a place for my drabbles. I can't always keep a drabble close to 100 words, though I am getting better! More often you'll find drabbles-and-a-half, or double-drabbles. Nevertheless, I will be posting snippets of various sorts, characters, and whatever pops into my head. Some are entries to the few Yule Mathoms Challenge entries I managed. Others are for the "Back to Middle-earth Month" Challenge at There'n'Back Again.
