| I just wanted you to know that I still read these adorable stories, I still love them, and I'm so happy you wrote them. Author Reply: Thank you so very much! | Ah, dear, dear little Pippin stealing coin purses and other objects, and mouthing them as only a very small child can. Oh, I can see it, too--and the swallowing of the copper penny. Every child has done that one, I think. And then Merry embarrassing him about it--oh, so appropriate! And that Pippin would treasure it for the sake of the one from whom he stole it.... Author Reply: I do think that Pippin would have been a bit spoiled at that point as the youngest in his family and the only lad. I also think that he might have done more than a bit of this sort of thing. Only Merry sees what is really going on. LOL I think most children have eaten a penny or two and other entertaining things as well. I once ate play-doh. Maybe that explains what's wrong with me now. | |

| That's a delightful little tale. As charming as toddlers can be, they can also be mean.... Poor Frodo! Well, he didn't want to listen and that's the price to pay :) A wonderful ending. | Merry is proved right about the bossy and light-fingered little Took - but no-one can say that he doesn't value what he ... acquires. Lovely story - I think I especially like Esmeralda's unmovable belief in the charming innocence of baby Pippin. Yes, right!! Author Reply: Acquires is a very polite word for it! LOL Glad you enjoyed this one. I always enjoy writing Esmeralda and most of the time I have her knowing far more than she does in this tale. In fact, she is usually ahead of the game. This once I let Merry be the one with all of the answers. I figure that every now and then even Esmeralda would be taken in by a cute face. Thanks for reviewing! | |

| GW, how could I ever get tired of this wonderful series! This is such a cute story. You really capture the mischief in Pip's nature and it's quite obvious it started from the day he was born! I love the reactions Merry has to his young cousin and the way that Frodo gave in to Pippin just like Merry said he would. And Esmerelda's reactions are so genuine. She didn't have a clue. It seems Pip knew what was going on though and the way he stuck out his tongue at his cousins showed what a keen little manipulator he already is! The ending really wraps up this tale nicely. | This was perfect. LOL, I remember some other routines of Bill Cosby's that you might be in, wink, wink. You have such a way with baby Pippin, and young, saucy Merry and Frodo--gotta love him! | He clutches it to his cheek and rubs the suede against his face and smiles, tears drying on his chubby cheeks. “Tank yoo,” he says in a squeaky little voice. He then gives me a warning look and says, “Mine.” just to let me know that I won’t be getting it back and then proceeds put the drawstring into his mouth and suck on it. LOL, that was adorable! Well, probably not for Frodo and most definetly not while Pippin was screaming. I've forgotten what a pain kids at that age can be. I can well imagine Pippin doing something like that. And Merry was just being a brat! If I had been Frodo, I would have strangled him. And Esme, coddling poor, injured, abused Pippin. :) At least he kept the purse and it will be a nice little memento of Frodo. :) Author Reply: I always seem to put Frodo in the middle of these things and I really do owe him a story where he wins out. LOL I will have to give that some thought because I have tortured him quite a bit lately. Good thing Merry and Pippin out grew all of that. LOL I look forward to your Cosby-inspired story too! | |

| This was lovely - I suspect even I would have given in to Pippin, the shameless little manipulator. I loved spoilt Pip and jealous Merry and hapless Frodo wilting under Esme's stern gaze. Not to mention a little faunt with bells on his trousers - too cute! The end was perfect - so Pip kept that purse 'because it belonged to someone special.' Oh, and Merry was right - Pip does have it coming to him! Author Reply: Yes, I think Merry will get even with Pip by telling this story often. LOL The jingle bells are my take on the tiny bells that people used to put on children's shoes only with a little hobbit faunt there wouldn't be any shoes so...
