| Love the vision Elladan had of Estel and his children, superimposed over Aragorn and Frodo. Things to come. Nice to see that Aragorn is a worried about Frodo's first trip, as the twins were at Estel's first time. Author Reply: Thanks, Grumpy. | Loved every word as usual Shirebound! Good of Aragorn tobesoconcerned for Frodo's emotional health and great to put it in perspective with his own first foray into the wider world. Frodo couldn't have better guardians for his first steps. And the foresight vision! Wow!!!!! Author Reply: Aragorn isn't *always* sure of himself, and I can imagine that escorting a hobbit OUT of the Shire would be more than a little out of his own comfort zone. It's interesting to explore little moments like that. Glad you're enjoying! :) | |

| Eek, I am a little late in reading and commenting on yet another wonderful chapter. So many things to love here: Aragorn's worry at taking Frodo outside the Shire, Elladan's foresight and understanding that Frodo is a very remarkable hobbit, the tug-of-war with Scamp (awwwww!!!), and Frodo's increasing ease with Elladan. I hope the next chapter isn't far off!! Author Reply: Every parent needs to pack their child's (or pet's) favorite toys for a trip, and Frodo is no exception! I just knew that rag-rope had to make an appearance sometime. I'm so glad you're enjoying this. I certainly hope to have time soon to work out the details of chapter 8. :) | |

| Yes, human and elvish blood, and his own nieces and nephew. I so with Frodo, too, could have seen those children. Author Reply: I like the idea from The Silmarillion (I believe) of the "master stone" palantir permanently housed on Tol Eressea; perhaps it was able to show Frodo quite a bit. (Or at least, it was a concept I played with in "Sing Me Home".) | |

| “Do you recall your first patrol? You did not know it, but Elrohir and I were uneasy about taking you beyond protected borders Great reply, Elladan! And wise! There will always be a certain day in the life of a young man (or hobbit, in this case) when you have to release him and let him explore his surroundings more freely! However, for a hobbit it is something very special when it comes to the outside world. That Elladan called Frodo "remarkable" is indeed - remarkable ;-) His vision showed him that the lives of Aragorn and Frodo will be interwoven in the future. He should never underestimate his own abilities. Last but not least, the little episodes with Scamp involved make this story even more lovable :) Thank you! I tried to weave that theme into the original story, "Quarantined", and it seems to have followed me ever since. I'm so glad you're enjoying this, and our wee pup!
