I know that Fiondil will never read this, but I feel that I must write it anyway on behalf of all those that read the reviews others have left. Elf,Interrupted has become canon in my mind, from the personalities of the Valar to the friendships between canonical and own characters. He has brought me to proudly admit that lord Nàmo is my favourite vala, to say that I now know more elvish than I have ever before, and to say that I have learned important life lessons along the way. I am a Christian and I am proud to say that this story has strengthened my faith and helped me to better understand some of the doctrines of the Bible better. I want to thank you, Fiondil, for taking the time to write this piece that has forever impacted my life. I cannot wait, one day, to see you when I also pass into the West, and to get to know you better! ....now if only I could remember not to whine.... Melkor take you, Eonwë, get out of my room!!!! *grins*

Wow. I finished this in February, and it had such a lasting impact on my life. I had been going through a period of doubt, and your story brought me back to Christ. Thank you. I know you won't read this, or if you do, definitely won't be replying, but I had to say thank you. You changed my life with the Elf, Interrupted books. One of my friends and I have often remarked that your stories will always be canon for us. It even made it into her story, Glorfindel's whining that is. You taught me Quenya and Sindarin with this as well, I'd tried to learn it before, but your stories were what made it stick in my head. I will never forget "I have an orc-lover on my hands" - it's already become a family joke between my brother and I. So I guess, well, to be repetitive, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. May your memory be eternal. Ci hannon, Bellethiel Christ is risen!

What a cliffy! I would be very angry if the next book were not already posted. I enjoyed this story a lot. Is Vorondil the same one that ends up in Wiseman, or is it his uncle who goes? Author Reply: Hi Eruherdiriel. Yes, you're lucky. The original readers had to wait a few months before they were able to read the sequel. Vorondil does not end up in Wiseman, but his great-great grandson, Calandil. Vorondil remains in Valinor, at least for the time being. I'm glad you enjoyed this story and hopefully you will enjoy the sequel. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I'm so glad that I don't have to wait for the sequal to this fantastic tale! Ending this with a cliff hanger was a shock. Even though I was forewarned I didn't realize I was at the end until I read the words "to be continued." Thank you for writing such a great fanfiction. Your portrals of these characters is great! There's the perfect balance between humour, angst, and drama. It's been a joy to read! ~Lin Author Reply: Hi Lin, You're very welcome. I hope you enjoy the sequel as much as you've enjoyed this story. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. Author Reply: Hi Lin, You're very welcome. I certainly enjoyed this story, though what a cliff hanger. Thankfully I have book two that will surely resolve this teaser! Your descriptions of Aman are wonderful. The Reborn, their trials and tribulations are, in my my mind an apt description of what it would be like to return. I can't help but favor the more feral elves who have returned from middle earth. The relationship between Sador, Finrod, and Glorfindel is lovely. I was so happy that Sador was reunited with family, lovely Sinda he is! Not enough is written about Glorfindel so I am happy to see you treat him so richly in your universe. Question, is this the back story to the relationship between Finrod and Glorfindel in Elf Acadamy part 2? Author Reply: Hi Fades. I'm so glad you enjoyed this story and I'm sure you'll enjoy Book 2 just as much. And I agree, there is not enough written about Glorfindel (or Finrod, for that matter) which is why I wrote the Elf, Interrupted series in the first place. Be sure to also read the companion stories, The Findaráto Diaries, and A Long Expected Wedding, once you get done with EI2. And yes, this is the backstory to the relationship between Finrod and Glorfindel. Elf Academy is AU to Elf, Interrupted only in the sense that I had always meant to write about Glorfindel returning to Aman at the end of the Fourth Age and how he has to re-adapt to life there, but Elf Academy got written instead, but essentially, the events chronicled in EI up to when Glorfindel leaves for Middle-earth apply to Glorfindel in EA. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to let me know how much you've enjoyed this. I really appreciate it.

This is absolutely amazing. Your characterisations and descriptions are superb, and I'm very impressed at how well you've developed such a complex plot. I adore your characterisation of Namo; I've never really thought much about the Valar, but he became my favourite character after only a few chapters. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable read. Now to read the sequel... Author Reply: Hello Isilarma. Sorry for the delay in answering your review. I am so glad you enjoyed this tale and especially my characterization of Námo. I appreciate you letting me. Thank you.

I just about had a heart attach reading this. I was so afraid something tragic was going to happen. I should have known the Valar would find someway to intercede and save the two ellon from destruction. Did Ingwe have a premonition that something bad was going to happen? I shall now proceed to Part II. Thanks for an absolutely glorious journey. I have to add that I loved your replies. I think we are on the same page where Elves are concerned. Tari Author Reply: Glad you had a great time reading this. I'm not sure if Ingwë had a premonition or not. I think he simply realized that he should always be careful about what he wished for. *grin* I hope you like Book Two as much as you've enjoyed Book One. Thanks for reviewing.

Ah--parted by Eru Iluvatar Himself, have they been, as each, caught in the midst of the battle that brought each to his death finds himself seeking to slay the Balrog he fought then. Now, to find what is intended for each. Looking forward to it. And I can finally look at some of the other tales posted on the site over the past few days and work on the stories I myself am writing. Thanks for an interesting last few days. I also just finished "The Ambler Warning" by Robert Ludlum last night. I recommend it. Author Reply: Yes... in this case Eru had to take direct intervention to protect everyone. The first chapter of Book Two will be up soon, before Easter. Glad you enjoyed this and are looking forward to the continuation. I haven't read Ludlum in years, though I liked his writing. Maybe I'll pick him up again when I get a chance to buy English-language books again.

Hi Fiondil, I re-read the reviews from Elf Interrupted I and I found: You will post EI II in spring respectively at Easter. That is not so far away, is it? I am not asking about the story but - will it be as long as EI I? I am so looking forward this story, you cannot imagine. And I hope there will be my three favourite elves: Glorfindel (of course), Finrod (of cource), Sador (of course), Beleg (of course), and all the others (of course)... Perhaps some of the Valar: Namo (of course), Manwe (of course)... Do you see that I cannot wait so long? Hoping... Caddy Author Reply: I have no idea how long EI2 will be. I never intended EI1 to be as long as it is, so we'll just have to see. And (of course) ALL your favorite characters will be back and maybe even one or two new ones along the way. Anyway, I've already started writing the opening chapters, so I should be well along with the story by the time I'm ready to post. It won't be long now. *grin*

I don't even have the words to express how much I loved this story. I am truly speechless. Characters I didn't think I would like I have come to love. The little elflings you write about have captured my heart and I looked eagerly for them in each chapter. It's not an easy thing to have as many characters as you do and be able to weave each and every one into the story. Yet you managed and never lost track of any of them and you brought them all to life. And the Valar. Your descriptions are so beautiful. Namo is and probably will always be my favorite but I would love to meet them all. I laughed and I cried throughout the entire story and I enjoyed each and every word. Thank you and I will wait for the next installment as patiently as I can! Ces Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed this story. Keeping track of all the characters.... when Rhyselle finally presented me with the list, I was floored. I created ALL of those characters? LOL Anyway, I am back to writing Book Two athough it'll be a few more weeks before I'm ready to post the first chapter. It won't be long now, I promise.
