| Hello! i recently stumbled upon your stories and i must say i really really enjoyed "elf, interrupted", both books. the way you describe things just felt so right for me and i found myself being pulled into this world (which left me with reading this story from morning on until very late into the night for almost a whole week hehe). anyway, i was wondering if maybe, if you feel like it, you could write another story about glorfindels return to valinor (and the valar greeting him 👀) and about his apprenticeship with manwë. for some reason that idea came into my mind as i finished the story, and it stuck with me for a while. i feel rather bored without anything to read all day haha. i am well aware that you have not posted anything for a while now, and i fully understand and respect that. in truth, i just wished to leave this message to tell you how much i appreciate the relief your books brought me. thank you very much ^^ i hope youre well, stay healthy ~Danny | |

| A new dimension? And why would Eru send them there? This is a very interesting situation. The Valar are better than taking sleep aids. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could use one of them as needed instead of taking a pill? I’d develop insomnia just for the chance to meet one. Tari Author Reply: You probably haven't read my story Wars of the Valar in which part of the plot revolves around finding the tenth spatial dimension (modern cosmologists believe there are 10 spatial and 1 temporal dimension comprising our universe). Valar as sleeping aids.... sounds good to me! *grin* | |

| I can see Glor getting on someone's nerves mightily, lol... *Gripe, Gripe, Gripe* Also speculating on the Valar laying bets among themselves as to who gets to box his ears first- *grin* I can just see Glor's expression after Lord Námo "sneaks up" on them...priceless! | Finally the second part. I´ve done some kind of happy dance after seeing it. I really love Part 1. It helped me through some divicult times last year. I guessed after the last chapter of part 1 that they are maybe in the tenth dimension. Who else could that happen to but those two. I´m really sorry for their families. After finally getting them back and living through so much trouble and intrigues, comes the next crisis. The behaviour of the Valar leaves the impression, that they not really know what to do, exept maybe wondering what they did to deserve the trouble. As for no animal live in the tenth dimension, maybe the Valar can bring Finrod and Glorfindel some food,kind of Valarian pizza-taxi (don´t know where that image comes from ???). Water I would guess should exist there. I hope the next chapter comes soon. Author Reply: HiHel. I'm glad you enjoyed Book One so much and you are looking forward to Book Two. Yes, Finrod and Glorfindel are indeed in the tenth dimension and yes their families are quite devestated. Hopefully, they will be returned to Aman proper in due time. The Valar, of course, aren't quite sure what to make of it and I have a feeling one or two are wishing Námo had never released them from Mandos right about now. *grin* Anyway, we'll find out in the next chapter how the Valar will provide for them while they are in the tenth dimension. And don't worry, the next chapter will be coming soon. I plan to update on a regular basis, just as I did with Book One. Thanks for reviewing. | |

| I like the parallel structure in this between the two groups and the way the grievers are comforting each other. Loved the last couple of lines. I'm so glad you've started posting Part 2. YAY!!! Author Reply: Thanks, Ellie, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and the way it was structured. I sort of wrote it as if I were cutting from one scene to another in a movie with the last line of one scene more or less being the first line of the next scene. | |

| Oh, my goodness, meldonya! What a chapter! I'm not really surprised at the reactions of the Eldar in the least. Arafinwë had me near tears as I read his heartbroken words. And Vorondil--well, I had a very strong suspicion that this would be his reaction to his Master disappearing. It was interesting seeing the reactions of the Valar. Nonplussed is the word that comes to my mind as far as their initial reaction. But then they pragmatically worked on getting things sorted out and doing damage control. I can just see Laurendil standing up to Irmo BTW. He is definitely one stubborn elf, isn't he? I think he's as stubborn in his own way as Glorfindel is. Beleg was very sweet and asked the question that I'm sure many were wanting to ask but didn't have the nerve to voice it. Beleg's straightforward trust and honesty reminded me that he is still very newly Reborn and like a child will say and ask things most adults are too worried or embarrassed to ask. His relief at finding out that Finrod and Glorfindel weren't dead was palpable and his comment regarding not being very happy about the situation was utterly charming. Amarië must be very upset. She and Finrod had only just gotten a chance to see each other after announcing their betrothal and now he's gone again. I wouldn't be surprised if she's afraid that it's going to be yeni before she sees him again, if she ever does. I wouldn't be surprised if she does some yelling at certain Valar herself. Glorfindel was reminding me of a kid doing the "Are we there yet?" routine that aggravates parents and siblings, and I admire Finrod for his ability not to snap his brother's head off. It must be very disconcerting to be in a place that looks familiar but is empty of all life and habitation. The utter silence would drive me absolutely crazy. Hmmm, no insects or animals, so how do the plants in the 10th dimension pollinate? You realise that I'm going to be thinking about that little issue all night, don't you? I know; "There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of..." The 10th dimension doesn't necessarily operate on "natural laws" even remotely similar to our dimension, does it? I'm sure we'll find out more as Finrod and Glorfindel do. And the last line of the chapter was marvelous. Hello, Námo! Needless to say (so why am I saying it, you ask?), I can hardly wait until the next update. I want to know what happened just as much as the Eldar do! Excellent work! Edlyn Author Reply: I think the Valar are even more nonplussed than they let on because they at least know what happened, where Finrod and Glorfindel are and WHO helped them there. That last really has them thrown for a loop. They are, of course, trying to cover up their own sense of panic by acting calm and collected and refusing to answer anyone's questions. Laurendil may have traded his sword for a bedpan (so to speak) but he's still a warrior and his Life Oath to Finrod kick in the minute Finrod disappeared. Irmo realizes this, so ignores the threats and lets the Elf remain rather than returning to Lórien. Beleg, of course, is still an innocent and unafraid of Námo anyway. I'm sure many of the elves wondered if the two were dead, Beleg at least has the guts to ask and so eliminate that particular fate from the list. Glorfindel is still emotionally young enough to want answers from "big brother" even if they are the right answers. He just wants reassurance that everything is going to be okay. We will see in the next few chapters how his immaturity works against him in that respect. As for how things are done in the tenth dimension... remember all is mere potentiality, so it matters not if there are higher animal life forms that normally help pollinate our dimension. As you say, the laws of nature don't necessarily apply here. I will be updating on a regular basis so you won't have too long to wait for the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing. | |

I think several people read this chapter with presuppositions that blinded them to what they were actually reading. Nasty things, assumptions... they usually get in the way of the truth. | |

| Ok, I admit it. I yelled out, "NO!!! Don't stop there!" after Namo's appearance! If this had been a book in my hands I would have been frantically flipping the pages for what happens next. Alas, I must wait for the next update! Cheers for Elf Interrupted's return! And well worth the wait. The shock and bewilderment felt by all was written wonderfully. And you gotta love Beleg - speaking his mind, yet still respectful. Go Beleg! Poor Glorfindel and Finrod - they have clue as to why or where they are. Hopefully Namo will fix all that. Loved his entrance by the way - always the dramatic for him! What a place to end it - don't leave us tettering on the edge of that cliff for too long please! Author Reply: The opening chapters are going to be relatively short as I develop the plot but will become longer as the story progresses, so I'm sorry about that. Anyway, I'm glad you thought the wait well worth it. I will be updating on a regular basis so you won't be teetering on the edge of the cliff for too long, I promise. Beleg is pretty cool and of course Námo just can't resist dramatic entrances. *grin* | |

| Hurray EI is back ;) I feel so sorry for the elves left behind, seeing your childeren/friends dissapear like that. You just gotta love Beleg and the way he acts. His reaction is great, he trusts Namo but let clearly showing he is none to pleased with what happened. Glorfindel and Finrod have been wisked off to the tenth dimension heh? I hope for the Valar's sake Eru knows what he's doing and they will not destroy it ... I mean ... it is Glorfindel and Finrod we are talking about *grin* Can wait for more to come. Author Reply: Beleg is pretty cool and I look forward to writing more about him in this tale. And I don't think there's much in the tenth dimension that Finrod and Glorfindel can destroy.... but then again.... *grin* | |
