gulp! I have anticipated a lot of things, but not THIS!! Why have they not come to my university years ago? Damm it! A war is coming? Training the mortals as warriors? Now I´m really intrigued and can´t hardly wait to ready the second part. Oh Fiondil, you have outdone yourself. What a wonderful idea. Where are the elves in Bavaria or Germany? We could need them as badly as well. So much stupidity abroad. Love this story so much and it had given me some comfort and hope that maybe, only mayby there are some elves around watching and guiding us!? I´m crazy I know and much too old for such fanzies. Lai Author Reply: Hi Lai. I don't think any of the readers anticipated the fact that the Elves are in Wiseman to start training the Mortals for the Last Battle, but that's what it's all about and in the next installment you will see how that is going. I'm glad you enjoyed this and I would like to think that there are some Elves around as well. Thanks for reviewing. I greatly appreciate it.

Atto, I think Glorfi was very brave, and so was "Finrod" for that matter! *hugs Zach* (By the way, you never answered my question about Jud, lolol) Anyway, I think it's clear that the Valar have something great in mind for the Elves...I find myself wondering more and more what EA2 will deal with. Hmmm... It's a pity the next chapter's the last one...I don't want the story to end! But at least the *next* day I'll have Wedding to console me, lol! What am I going to read after that, though? =P This is such a fun story, I'll miss rereading it. *hugs* Tye-melin, Atto! Kaylee Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. Sorry about that. I apparently missed that particular comment. It's been answered. As for what is in store for the Elves and their friends in the sequel, that will be revealed soon enough. In the meantime, I'm sure you can find something else of mine to read. *grin* Tye-melin.

Okay. Where do I go and when can I sign up? I can be ready ASAP. "Sigh" If only it were real. Author Reply: If only indeed! *grin*

Oops. No, Fiondil. The chapter was not wordy. And I am sorry that I can only clarify it now... It was actually nice. I think my wording gave that impression. What I meant is that all the information - well, most of it - was creepy. :sheepish: To me, at least. That is what I meant by "morbid" too... And again, sorry. - Rey PS: I do still hope you will consider a sequel. :) Author Reply: Okay. That makes more sense. Obviously, the thought of the Dagor Dagorath coming can be creepy.

*wince* All the information... Morbid. But it was oddly fascinating in a way. There was a play of sharp emotions here from the Elf, Interrupted universe. I firstly thought it was Namo, but then you gave the eyes away and I realised who the male was. LOL I kept expecting bad things to happen or that the Elves would meet some of the Valar because of the title but not this! You executed the chapter quite well. I found myself, again, immersed in the search and the anxiety they felt. Caleb was a fresh change from all the tension and dark conversations... Zach did admirably well, as Glorfindel said. Dunno, but I half-thought he would not have done that well... I guess I underestimated him. Shameful, really! The announcement that Dagor Dagorath was near made my skin crawl. Unfortunately the people there - and in turn, the readers - were not told about who the 'watcher in the water' was... *glare sulkily* I suspected the Valar's part in getting all the six Elves sacked, but I did not expect them to meddle with the mortals too. Now that the events took a darker tone, the job as elf guides did the same. I wish you would expand it to when the Elves and their friends tried to do what Manwe had bidden them to do... It would have been interesting, to say the least, and the 'ride' would be a rollercoaster one. Consider a short sequel, please? :puppy-dog eyes: LOL As light as the story has been, it ends on a serious note... Well, I think, I like this best. *grin* Now to the last chapter! (Yippy! I don't have to finish it tomorrow... I am so, so curious...) - Rey Author Reply: I'm not sure why you would think the information imparted by the Valar to the Elves to be morbid and I do not think I made the chapter too wordy in that regard. I try to give just the information that is needed for the reader, but clearly, within the story itself, the information was needful to be given to the Elves and Mortals so they would understand what was truly happening. Zach, I think, was underestimated by a number of readers who saw only his stuttering and equated that with ineptness. A common thing to do when confronted with people with even the most minor of disabilities. And you know me... as light as I make things I like to insert a note of seriousness because that is the way life is.

what a fantastic chapter! I loved Manwe and Varda as almost Dickensian Spirits of Christmas, and I was so glad that Olorin also turned up. At least some of the Mortals now understand about the Higher Powers and the Elves. This story also seems really credible - not easy to place the Elves in our modern world but you have achieved the near impossible and managed it brilliantly. Author Reply: Gad! I can't believe I missed seeing this review, Baggins Babe, after you've been so good at reviewing this story all along. I've been re-reading this story to make sure there are no typos and such that have been missed because it's been nominated for a MEFA and in the process I've been re-reading reviews as well. I'm really sorry about this (and embarrassed). I want to thank you for taking the time to review and I'm glad you enjoyed this particular chapter, especially the Dickensian flavor of the Valar's presence, and that you found the story as a whole credible. That was certainly my goal. Again, my apologies for not responding sooner.

Quite the surprise there--and not all of it pleasant. Now--to gather the remaining Elves of Middle Earth to them! Maglor is one of them, I must assume.... Author Reply: No, there is nothing pleasant about the Dagor Dagoarth. *grin* As to which Elves show up....

I was not expecting Manwe and Varda themselves to be the ones who met them at santa's grotto. That was cool! And to see Olorin again, yay! Caleb was cute, the poor little guy. I was amused to see Manwe and varda dressed like the ghosts of Christmas present, though. It was interesting to see the others in amazement of the fact that Glorfy was on his knees before Manwe and how much this simple act of his shocked them. Very cool chapter! Author Reply: Well, Glorfindel was definitely gob-smacked at that point, so it's not surprising he ended up on his knees. *LOL* As for Manwë's and Varda's outfits... yeah, I sort of modeled them on the Ghost of Christmas Present, and why not? Glad you liked this chapter, ellie. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh my goodness! Now THAT was unexpected! I did expect the encounter-- but not the reasons behind it! Wow! Author Reply: Glad you liked this chapter, Dreamflower. Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

Heh. I _did_ have a sneaking suspicion Manwë was going to show up, ever since Kevin told Santa "I would like a telescope so I can see Elbereth’s stars more closely." And just _what_ happened to Glorfy's second-best sword?? Sounds like there might be an interesting story there... ;-) Author Reply: Ah... you are probably the only one to think Manwë would show up. As to what happened to Glorfi's second-best sword.... if I ever find out, perhaps I'll write about it. *grin*
