| Nolofinwë is rapidly rising in my respect. I'm glad he's not interested in replacing his brother as the Noldóran; it would cause so much fighting if he did it at this point in time. *shakes head* All these Reborn have a strange influence on the others. Now even Arafinwë is acting like an elfling! But at least they have fun to relieve some of the stress. Well, Anairë had a rather ... hands-on method to greet her husband after all these centuries ... While I understand her anger, that was not exactly helpful for the Reborn. I wonder how much damage she did to their relationship ... no wonder her children like Eärwen better! So Nolofinwë doesn't even know what sharing the bed means. That's going to be a bit awkward, I guess. And to topp the chapter off, you had to drop another bombshell ... you are evil, did I tell you that before? Author Reply: Nolofinwë is no dummy and he knows he's not ready to rule anything and what he said about Arafinwë is true and for that reason alone Arafinwë is the rightful Noldóran. And I think Arafinwë is just glad to have his brother back and is reminding Nolofinwë of when they were both younger and the teasing they did between each other. I'm sure Nolofinwë appreciated it. And Anairë has a lot of issues but I'm sure eventually it'll all get straightened out. As for being evil... hah! You don't know the half of it. *grin* Thanks for the review, Kitty. | Wow. What a shock. It would have been nice if Amarië had said something sooner. Waiting this long is quite unfair. Poor Finrod. Author Reply: Hi Tari. | Oh man, this chapter! First we have Anarie, and ow but that must be traumatic on all sides! Your husband, who you are not entirely sure you forgive just yet (1) doesn't remember you and (2) acts like a child. Or on Nolofinwe's side "hey this random stranger who you are supposed to have tied your life to and apparently love just hauled off and slapped you!" Ow. Just Ow. And then Amarie afkhskljhlk WHAT. D= Oh dear oh dear oh dear! Author Reply: Hi bookworm. There's certainly a lot going on in this chapter with lots of high emotions all around. Anairë and Nolofinwë are going to have to get to know one another again. Even though he's in elfling mode at the moment, he was also a king and she never knew him in the respect. And of course, time doesn't stand still even for Elves and she's changed from what she was like before. It'll take a while for them all to be a family again, but it'll come eventually. As for Amarië... we'll just have to see what happens next week. *grin* Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it. | |

| They recover, and then have a family confrontation of such magnitude, with Anaire not realizing just how this loss of memory she's been told of is likely to manifest itself; and then just as reconciliation is starting to begin, here comes Amarie with such a pronouncement? What else is likely to happen before the ceremony is supposed to take place? Sounds more and more as if they ought to have eloped after all! Author Reply: If it's not one thing it's something else, isn't it, Larner? I'm sure many people are beginning to wish Finrod and Amarie had done it the "Sindarin way" by now. *grin* We'll see next week how it all gets resolved. Thanks for reading and reviewing. | Oh, no! What now? Didn't Arafinwe say "One crisis down"? I knew it sounded ominous... but I didn't expect that. Grrr, and now I have to wait another whole week for an explanation. Poor Finrod! When this wedding ever takes place (and it better does The exchange with the bed was hilarious and should give Anarie a hint as to the maturity of her husband. But I think her shock was too great to really process all the implications. Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Well, you know what they say about Murphy's Law. I'm sure it applied to Elves as well and we're seeing the proof of it right here. I'm glad you found the "bed" exchange hilarious. Nolofinwe's reaction must've really confused her. And you're right that her shock is still too great to really process all the implications. I think it'll take a while for her to reconcile her memories of her husband with the reality, but at least they have lots of time to get reaquainted. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing. | Erm, Fiondil, I think your Muse and I need to have a little chat, something along the lines of the ones Namo has with certain people, he has an evil mind, a very evil mind!(Not Namo, your Muse!) I do think Arafinwe could have given Anaire a little warning, just how hard would it have been to tell her that her husband and sons had been Re-born before springing them on her. As for Amarie, I suppose it is just as well she has changed her mind no, otherwise, after the wedding it would be a little late, LACE being what it is! Good one Fiondil, as if my blood pressure is not high enough already! Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. And how do you know my Muse isn't Námo himself? *grin* I'm sure Arafinwë debated to himself and Eärwen how best to handle Anairë and this was the solution they came up with. I'm not sure how they could've approached it otherwise. And once she gets over the shock, I'm sure Anairë will rise to the occasion. | Now, this was the mother of all evil cliffhangers and no mistake. *g* I know I'm probably calling the lynch mob upon myself, but I for my part have great understanding for both Anairë and Amarië (and would like to throttle the Professor for giving them almost identical names - it's frigging hard to keep them apart!). They both were dealt with badly, and are entitled to hold some grudges, IMO. But that's just me, and I don't expect anyone to share my heretic opinion. ;) Author Reply: Hi Soledad. That's me, the king of evil cliffies. LOL! I have great sympathy for Anairë and Amarië, though for different reasons. I think it very reasonable that Anairë would have ambivalent feelings towards her husband and children and we deal with Amarië's feelings in "Elf, Interrupted". Thanks for commenting.
