Hi Fiodil. The lord of Mandos with a baseball cap with skull and crossbones on it! Hilarious! I know I'm way behind in the story, but I hope one of these days when Namo shows up you have him wearing a Blue Oyster Cult t-shirt with "Don't Fear The Reaper" on it. Nate and Esther are a real hoot! Love and Blessed Be,Diana. Author Reply: This is one of my favoritest chapters of all time. LOL! Coming up with a disguise for "Nate" was loads of fun, especially the baseball cap. I doubt, though, that the Lord of Mandos would ever deign to show up in a T-shirt of any stripe. He's too cool for that. LOL! And Esther is a real hoot as well. Thanks for reviewing, Diana. It's very much appreciated.

yes, now on to get some real answers. LOL! But will Alex master all these news so quickly? I liked how he spoke with the other agent. He made his point clear but it´s also clear that the other has to be taken out before he rally hurts anyone even if I doubt that he could hurt an elf, or? They hopefully can look after themselves, or so I hope but they are not immune against a gun or anything worse. The introduction of Namo and Este was quite funny now is only Manwe left. Loved this chapter very much. Thank you. Lai Author Reply: Hi Lai. We'll see how well Alex handles what the Elves have to tell him. Clearly Farrell needs to be dealt with and we will see how that is handled as well. And Nate and Esther are always fun. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for reviewing.

Atya, Well, I knew this had to be coming ever since the sequel showed up. Nate and Esther can't keep their noses out of things. I suppose I was hoping there would be...oh, hmm, let's see...Nate's wife, running the local clothing store and dropping in, or hmm, maybe Nate's brother, who happens to be married to Esther, coincidentally, and their older sister? *grin* I love Namo here, but since I always love him, that's not much of a surprise, is it? I *don't* love Farrell, however. Oh, he's a great character, don't get me wrong, the kind I love to hate. :P But he's ick, as Thranduil would say in mine and Emma's stories. (Well, Thranduil's an elfling, so we can cut him some slack. Hehe.) I'd love to see Farrell taken down a few pegs. Did Maddy send him, really? Or has he got his own thing going on? Tye-melin, Kaylee Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. I think "Esther" and "Nate" have decided they "own" the café and won't let any of the other Valar play in it. LOL! As for Farrell... ick just about describes him. We'll see what he's all about eventually. In the meantime, just enjoy hating him. LOL! Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it. Tye-melin.

Oh, this is sooooo good. Farrell is so sinister. I wouldn't trust him any further than I could throw him. I doubt he will get the best of Alex. He just doesn't know who he is dealing with. Three cheers for the Elves and Valar. Author Reply: Hi Tari. Glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I was praying that Esther and Nate would turn up when I saw the venue for the meet. And Namo's outfit is definitely coffee-splurting material! But, poor trade craft Alex, picking up your phone as soon as you leave the cafe. Farrell is just as likely to be hanging about or another spy...er make that intelligence officer! And this idea of McKinley not being Ambrose has distinct possibilities but, knowing you, it won't be the whole solution. Great reading. Author Reply: Hi Harrocat. You may be right about Alex's poor trade craft, but I don't think he's thinking too straight at the moment... too many shocks all at once. As for the McKinley not being Ambrose idea... you'll just have to wait and see how that works. Thanks for leaving I comment. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter.

Gave me chills to think that Farrell had already tried to 'take down' Amroth. I wonder if the Elf was aware? Can't wait til the next and the next and the next chapters..... *g* Author Reply: Hi Agape. We'll find out whether or not Amroth was aware of what Farrell tried to do in a later chapter. Glad you are looking forward to reading more. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Farrell has gone too far, if he's already tried to "grab" Amroth! I wonder who else he has gathering information and am very glad to see that Alex is going straight to Amroth this time. Looking forward to hearing that conversation. The restaurant scene was wonderful: "Esther" popping in and out and driving Farrell crazy, Namo in a skull and crossbones cap and plaid shirt, and the fear of poisoned pie! *laughing* Poor Alex for going through yet another shock, but really, that was a perfect mix of suspense and humor. Author Reply: Hi Lizbeth. Yeah, Farrell's a loose cannon, all right. Glad you enjoyed the restaurant scene. It's always a hoot watching "Esther" and "Nate" playing with the Mortals. *grin* Thanks for leaving a comment. It's much appreciated.

I'd suspected the identity of "Esther," but hadn't expected "Nate" to show up right then. As for the baseball cap and its decorations--oh, but we do have an ironic turn of mind, don't we? And Farrell, I'd guess, is being directed by the Black Enemy's most current lieutenant for reasons of his own. He is a real slimeball in his own right! Author Reply: A very ironic turn of mind, indeed, Larner. I'm glad "Nate's" appearance was a surprise. He's a lot of fun. As for Farrell... you may be closer to the truth than you realize, though if it is true, Farrell is an unwitting tool. We'll have to see how things go. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate it very much.

Admittedly, I'd feel better if Alex had told Glorfindel and our dear balrog-slayer had assigned some silent watch. I don't trust that Farrell any further than I can throw him. Though Alex is probably too used to doing everything alone, and I understand that he doesn't want to reveal his connections too early. Esther? Ah good – now I feel much better! Even though I suspect that a certain Maia is around. Farrell, however ... that guy gets more and more suspicious and annoying. He's way too focused on taking out Amroth, even before the observation through Alex gives him or their superiors any knowledge. Why? Does he feel threatened by Amroth more than the situation warrants? And is he really acting on orders of Maddy Washburn, or on his own? Nice double meaning about Amroth not knowing who Alex really was *grin* But I really wanted to kick Farrell when he asked why Alex hadn't used the weekend to kill Amroth. Do you think Námo would mind terribly if that one had a fatal accident very soon? I don't like the idea of Farrell running free, he's way too dangerous. Particularly when he now thinks about threatening Nimrodel as well. He makes the impression that he wants to kill Amroth, no matter if that is justified or not, and as many others as possible. Sounds more like a terrorist than an agent, as far as I am concerned ... Anyway, I wonder how he keeps tabs on Alex. Hopefully Derek isn't involved in that, I really like that guy. Though if he's not, then he's probably in a lot of danger as well. Besides, I had been a bit worried how Alex was going to deal with Farrell, seeing how upset the poor guy already was, so I was rather pleased to see how he so firmly put him in his place. Well done, Alex! Of course, you had to end that visit to the Café with another shock for the poor guy and introduce him to the Valar! Not sure if it will make him more upset or feel that he's not alone ... Glad to know Alex has the good sense to talk with Amroth now. They really need to work out what to do, that's something Alex can't deal with alone. Of course, now I'm nervous and worried ... and will probably be for many more chapters to come. Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Yes, Farrell ooes sound more like a terrorist than an agent. He obviously has little or no regard for human life with his unconcern about collateral damage. I imagine a lot of people are like him to one degree or another. As for Alex talking with Amroth... well, there's talking and then, again, there's talking. *grin* We'll see how it works out in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

Oooh, a reunion with Esther and Nate! Loved it! That was my favourite scene in the first part, too. Now to see how they deal with Farrell... that guy is really, really slimy. I still vote for him to have an unfortunate incident with memory loss. Author Reply: Hi Soledad. Esther and Nate are lots of fun, aren't they? I susupect that was a favorite scene of a lot of readers. It was certainly a favorite scene for me to write, especially Esther constantly interrupting the conversation between Alex and Farrell and then Nate showing up with his skull and crossbones baseball hat. As for Farrell... that remains to be seen. Thanks for commenting. I really appreciate you taking the time to do so.
