| what a surprise,the campus is coming down with the flu so short after the trouble with the agents. I do not know how someone can spread the visrus intentionally but this is surely no coincidence. THey want to divide the elves attention. Maybe they do not know that elves can´t get sick? Anyway hope this will go away soon. Having the stomach flu is no fun. Lai Author Reply: Not everything that happens in this story is directly related to the agents, Lai. Life goes on around you whatever else is happening and at this point in time, the college has been struck down with the Norovirus and it will last as long as it will last, like all such things. | Have to agree with Derek here, that doesn't sound good. A virus is all they need now, on top of all the other problems with Alex, Farrell, the other spies, the ACCU and everything. Even though it is realistic, it's still horrible timing. Um ... why was my first thought if Farrell could have anything to do with so many getting sick? Could it be that I am getting too paranoid? On the other hand, if it's the Norovirus, that can happen even without murderous spies around. Sounds like this is going to get much worse before it gets better. In such an institution it's nearly impossible to contain that sort of virus, I think. And if it started in the Cafeteria, where pretty much everyone comes to, it would spread rapidly. It's really good that the Elves can't get it, so at least some people in charge will not end up sick themselves. It's nice how Alex is taking care of Derek. Trained killer or not, he's still a nice guy. Author Reply: Hi Kitty. That's been everyone's thought, that somehow Farrell is responsible for the virus, but in truth, it's just a virus and common enough and, as you say, can happen at any time. And it will indeed get much worse before it gets better (as it always does). I'm glad you think Alex is a nice guy, which he is, trained killer or not. Thanks for commenting. | I do wonder if that virus was planted there by Farrell... It seems just his style not to care a bit about what happens to other people. Ransom note? *grin* What a pity they didn't try that, but probably it wouldn't have worked. Author Reply: Hi someone. It really tickles me how many readers immediately suspect that Farrell somehow introduced the Norovirus, when, nast critter though it is, it's a naturally forming virus that is found all over the world and people get it all the time. The timing may seem suspicious, but I suspect the Norovirus would've hit Wiseman when it did regardless of what was happening there. Of course a ransome note implies someone to ransome, but since they don't want to ransom Amroth to anyone, there's no point, is there? *grin* Thanks for commenting. It's greatly appreciated. | |

| Atto, Looks like me and Emma (and my Ada, with bronchitis) aren't the only sick ones! At least none of it is Norovirus...ick :( This sounds really very bad. | Uggh. Stomach flu. That's no fun. I just hope it is coincidence and not something more sinister. I love the "ninja elves", always good for a laugh. I hope you feel better soon. Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Believe me while there is no thing as "coincidence" there is such a thing as "real life" and in real life people catch the stomach flu. Glad you liked the "ninja Elves". | Ah, the college gut flu. How well I remember thee. Poor Derek! I sincerely hope, considering the number of spies, ex-spies, elves and potential moles, that it IS nothing worse than the typical gastro! Things have certainly been heating up. Alex/Ambrose seems to be getting more and more distant from his colleagues, and I have a great need to have something horribly humiliating and public happen to Farrell. On the personal side of things, I hope things go well with you! Don't worry about updates, RL always comes first! Author Reply: Hi bookworm. It's not so much the virus as that it's the virus on top of a blizzard that traps everyone, making conditions worse. As for Farrell, the jury is still out as to what his ultimate fate is. Things are going as well as expected. At least I'm out of the hospital so I can concentrate on recovering. Thanks for leaving a review in the meantime. I really appreciate it. | |

| Personally, I'm quite concerned about this 'epidemic.' What are its real origins? Author Reply: You'll have to ask a disease reseracher to get the answer to that question or maybe Wikipedia, where I got most of mine on this virus. LOL! Anyway, thanks for commenting. Apage. | I thought the same thing as harrowcat when I read this... and I love how the suspense keeps building! On another note, I had the norovirus once, and it caused school to be canceled for a while. | Gah, stomach flu! Whether it's coincidence (if you believe in coincidences) or Farrell's doing, I hope he gets it anyway. Then he can throw up all the darkness inside him (actually, I read something like that somewhere - it was impressive though disturbing) and perhaps become a decent person. I don't really believe that Maddy sent him. Perhaps he faked Maddy's answer, too. In any case, give him the stomach bug, they deserve each other. Although I can imagine that the virus would be most traumatized in such evil environment. Sorry for coming late. I was too busy collapsing on the school-free day to get my brains working. Get better, soon! Author Reply: Hi Soledad. Frankly, I wouldn't wish the Norovirus on anyone. For me, the worse thing is throwing up. I absolutely hate it, which is why I have my heroes doing it a lot. LOL! You may be right about Maddy not sending Farrell. He may have been sent by someone else at the Agency. | Hopefully everything is OK with you, take your time, we will waiting, as ever. Stomach flu, ewww, my daughter had it last week, very, very bad. But this is only the beginning? Now I'm worry Author Reply: The worse, as they say, is over. I've gotten through the surgery (always risky however routine) with flying colors, making my doctors very happy and self-congratulatory. Me, all I did was lie there. *grin* Anyway, there is more woe to be visited upon our heros, mortal and Elves, alike. This part of the storyline could be subtitled: "How to overwhelm Glorfindel in three easy lessons." LOL! Thanks for leaving a review, Fantasia. I appreciate it very much. | |
