Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. The tree amigos going slowly through all greenbacks reminds me about the old comedies with Louis de Funes or Vlasta Burian. The whole drinking challenge. It would be to much even for my Russian friends, who are normally able to get down 200 g of vodka in one go without showing any effects. And Findalaurë singing Noldolante. Author Reply: Hi Serindë. I thought it was hilarious, too, and had a lot of fun writing this. Thanks for letting me know how much you enjoyed the chapter. I appreciate it.

I'm catching up again. :-) I rather enjoyed watching the three amigos go through the drinks tour list, although I admit to shuddering at the thought of anyone ingesting even one of those concoctions! Things weren't going too horribly until Elennen and Findalaurë got into that fight. I rather feel badly for all of them now. I don't know if any of the other reviewers mentioned it, but I'm more than a bit leery of Patty, that girl who knows all of those languages... it seems a tad "convenient", in some ways. But then I've been trying to figure out who could be Farrell's Academy contact ever since we realized he's really a bad guy, so maybe her language facility could simply just be a coincidence of a plot device which serves to make the protagonists nervous. *grin* Those lads are really going to hate themselves in the morning... I love the description of how Finrod looked when Alex looked up at the end of the chapter. I do feel that he's probably going to pull out his book of appropriate and creative punishments again... I do love going back and re-reading your stories, Fiondil. Going back and re-reading the earlier chapters of this fic has been fun too. I just wish that my brain would quit making my fingers type a different alliterative name than the one I meant to type ("Derek" vice "Daeron", and suchlike) when I review. As usual, very well done! :-) Author Reply: Hi Rhyselle. Patty is just someone who happens to be conversant in some of the Scandinavian and Russian languages. It's just unfortunate that Alex chose Finland as the place of origin for the three amigos. It just goes to show that the intelligence officers screwed up by not coming up with a backstory for the Elves beforehand. Serves them right, I say. LOL! I'm glad you enjoy re-reading my stories and even re-reading this one even though it's not over yet. I appreciate you telling me and I appreciate your reivews very much. Thank you.

*snicker* Now that's a strange menu Elennen chose! Patty was definitely speaking the wrong languages too well. But who would have expected it? Luckily Findalaurë had the idea with the vow only to speak English, that should help – until they speak Quenya ... *sigh* Baiting the three into that challenge wasn't their best idea, was it? Pity Elennen didn't win the argument. From the descriptions, I'd not have managed even the first drink, truth be told. Nightmare indeed! But then, I prefer water anyway. Less dangerous, and tastes much better. Oh, and btw, Ellie found really funny names for the drinks! I should probably feel sorry for Calandil and the other two for being so sick, but I can't really say I do. They should not have taken the challenge in the first place. Typical male. Uh oh. Why do I suspect trouble has arrived? Author Reply: Hi Kitty. I thought the names hysterical myself. I'm not into mixed drinks either and these days prefer water as my beverage of choice. As you say, it's less dangerous and better for you anyway. And we'll see just how Glorfindel and Finrod react to what they find at the bar in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Fun, fun and funnier! Sensible advice about drinking was initially given but once the drinking game was mentioned the results were inveitable. Author Reply: Very true. I'm glad you found this chapter funny. It was a lot of fun writing it. Thanks for your comment. It's greatly appreciated.

This was wicked. It's a good thing the three are Elves, else the local hospital would have their hands full. Not a really good choice for introducing the Elves to human culture. I loved the names of the drinks. You must have snorted a few times in satisfaction! Great chapter. I'll leave the reprimands to Finrod and Glorfindel. Author Reply: Hi Agape. This is wicked and I had a blast writing this. Glad you liked the name of the drinks. Ellie certainly has a great imagination. I would never have been able to come up with them myself. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Enough of this male justice. I think it is time for a woman to beat some sense into the children. I am thinking Varda could make them clean out every barn in wiseman or something equally unpleasant.. Great chapter :) Author Reply: Hi Calenlassiel. Having one of the Valier dole out punishment sounds like a good idea. Not that it will ever happen and Finrod will is well known for his creative punishments, but I think the three amigos will be punished enough with hangovers. As for Alex and Derek and the others students, we'll have to see what happens to them. Glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

And then they ran into Glorfindel's sword. They ran into Glorfindel's sword ten times. Hoo boy are they in trouble. Thankfully, my school doesn't have much have much of a drinking culture. Maybe that's because it's a women's college and we don't have all that testosterone and "frat boy" mentality. I think the worst thing my roommate and I have ever done is go for ice-cream before dinner. XP Looking forward to the next chapter! Whispy Author Reply: Hi Whispy. LOL! You're too funny. I went to a co-ed college and I remember one particular night where I was shanghaied by some of my dormmates to a local bar. I was not a happy camper the next morning, to say the least. *grin* I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've been drunk in all my 50-odd years. Anyway, I'm glad you're looking forward to the next chapter. It should prove amusing. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. It's very much appreciated.

Findalaurë, and his pals going to get into some serious trouble here with daddy and Glorfindel. However, Alex and Derek, better not use "they are adults" excuse for their own behaviour. I have a feeling that won't wash with either Finrod or Glorfindel. Because Derek, and by default Alex, really did set the Three Amigos up. Although, I admit to LOL in some the things said. Who hasn't done something stupid when you are young and foolish. Findalaure is really making alot of mistakes and is very rude, with his feeling of being better than the Mortals. Maybe, realizing that Derek and Alex, used his attitude to set him up, might make him eat some humble pie. Although I can't see it helping with the friendship with Alex and Derek. I think Finrod and Glorfindel need to knock everyone heads together to get them to behave and act like adults who have a serious misson. Author Reply: Hi Rosealynn. Findalaurë is pretty arrogant and perhaps this little incident will teach him a lesson and help change his attitude and make him more humble (and that goes for the other two as well). As to what excuse Alex and Derek give to Glorfindel and Finrod for what happened and why, we'll find out soon enough. Our two Elf-lords (especially Glorfindel, as we will see) aren't happy with anyone right now. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. It's greatly appreciated.

Durn! The two of them almost made it! I wasn't giggling as hard as I did at Kara's Auntie's latest chapter to "Not Quite a Maia" (on FF.n)--I was laughing out loud as some of George and Fred's creations from Weasley's Wizarding Whizzes were set off on an army of Haradrim and Easterlings--but I definitely have giggled all through this one. Ah, dear--get too many drinks under one's belt, and even gwadors find ancient grievances hard to evade! Love the names--Ellie did well at advising you as to what to name most of them! Heh! Now--how will Glorfindel and Finrod deal with the situation? Author Reply: Yeah, it's a pity they didn't get to finish the last drink. *grin* When I was discussing this scene with Ellie and wondering what to call the drinks, I was floored when she came back shortly with a whole list which she made just off the top of her head. There were fourteen drink named, and since there are fifteen Elves living in Wiseman, I added the Fëanorean Fit to round out the list. As to how Glorfindel and Finrod deal with all this... that will be seen shortly. Thanks for reviewing, Larner. It's always appreciated.

I had to laugh at the scene with the money, when each elf looks to find the correct bill. That alone will make them noticeable to everyone around. And then the drinking game... Seems that more than just Alex and Derek know that elves are real. I think the women were very smart to leave the place. Men! The names of the drinks were cute. Derek sums it up beautifully at the end: "I think we are in deep trouble." They are all in trouble. The three elves are probably punished enough by the stupendous hangover they will have (or is the elven healing ability shortening that phase?). But Derek and Alex are not in the clear, either. Author Reply: Hi obsidanj. There were a lot of funny scenes in this chapter, but I liked the money scene a lot, too. I could so see the expressions of Cal and Alan carefully looking at the bill Alex had pointed out and then going through their own stash trying to find the one that looks just like it, especially when American money is all the same color. Certainly the three amigos are already being punished with the binge drinking and its effects and we'll see how Alex and Derek and the others with them fare in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate if very much.
