Such a fantastic idea! I love the thought of the northern kingdom, I have always wondered what it was like... Author Reply: Thank you. I love imagining how the Fourth Age would unfold for the hobbits, especially in my "happy" AU.

How on earth did I miss so many chapters? Oh well--I've more to read at one time this way! What a wonderful memorial, with the map of the journey and the portraits of each member of the Fellowship. I would truly love to see such a place! But my favorite was the engraving: "THROUGH THE DEEDS OF MANY EMERGES PEACE. PRAISE THEM LEST WE FORGET THE COURAGE SHOWN AND SACRIFICES MADE TO ENSURE FREEDOM AND SECURITY FOR GENERATIONS YET UNBORN. THUS DOES THE FOURTH AGE BEGIN IN LIGHT AND HOPE." What a perfect description and summary of the Quest! Author Reply: Oh gosh, I'd love to see that place, myself. I hope many, many people travel to see it and appreciate what it took for them to live in a time of peace. I'm glad you like those words! They would keep the memories alive, I hope. *beams*

I REALLY want to go to this Fellowship of the Ring museum myself---when do I get to? It sounds quite amazing! Author Reply: We need to schedule a moot there! :)

Ah, lovely! I can almost see it all in my mind's eye, thanks to so many little details that you delight in including in your writing, such as, the sound of the fountains reminded him of Rivendell. I chuckled at Sam's mystification over his children wishing to go a-boating. I wondered at Frodo's guarded tone when Strider asked about his book. I truly enjoyed the description of the memorial (the map sounds wonderful!) and the honoring of the Nine Walkers and their deeds. And much as you love to see Frodo honored, well, you know I am the same about Merry, and his younger cousin. It was lovely to see Pippin's confusion, and to hear Elessar's explanation. (I can just see Merry beaming in the background, not even bothering to read his own scroll, in his delight at Pippin's recognition.) Author Reply: Thank you for your lovely review, my friend! I really appreciate you highlighting the parts that you enjoyed the most. I suspect that 'ordinary' hobbits visiting the city, who have never seen Bilbo's maps, would be astounded at how much of Middle-earth would now be revealed to them in those maps. What a joy to ensure that the hobbits are honored, and their deeds celebrated. *beams*

Oh, a great idea to have a museum devoted to the Fellowship. It will go a long way to keep the memory alive. Author Reply: Thank you. I think it would be a very important part of the new northern capital, especially being so close to the Shire.

Argh! You are killing me with this story because I am absolutely DYING to go visit that room and look at the portraits of the Fellowship and read about them! What an utterly charming idea, and it makes me so happy that Frodo is still there to see and experience it all. Thank you! Author Reply: Thank *you*! Gosh, I'd love to read those scrolls myself. What Aragorn chose to have written would no doubt be quite different from what the hobbits (and others) might have chosen or even thought about. What a joy to ensure that they're honored from one end of Middle-earth to the other, and that Frodo is there to experience it.

This is such a lovely chapter. It made me so happy to think that all the Fellowship are revered and loved for their deeds, and memorialized with those portraits and scrolls. Thank you for letting me know you'd posted this chapter, Janet. I enjoyed it so much. Author Reply: Oh Mewsie, you're such a sweetie! It makes *my* heart happy to know that you're reading and enjoying this story. Today was a loooong day of meetings, and it was such a joy to come home to find your comment. ♥

What a lovely chapter! So true that Pippin saving Faramir smoothed Aragorn's path to the throne. Author Reply: Thank you. I think Aragorn might have viewed so many events differently -- and with more of an eye towards heroic history that should be remembered -- than the hobbits might have.

He knelt to wipe the tears of joy that were streaming down Pippin’s face, and embraced him. Good old Pippin! In that respect he is like Frodo: he underestimates his contributions. And a great idea of Aragorn to build the memorial house so that the Fellowship will be remembered for a very long time. Author Reply: How I love hobbits! What a pleasure to give them honor, comfort, and love. Thank you, Andrea. The way Annuminas (old and new) might have looked and operated is such a blank slate, we get to recreate it the way each of us imagines it best.
