I kept reading this chapter for several times. I have to say you never cease to amaze your readers! I think many had anticipated Elrond and Celebrían to show up, among with possible a group of others, including possible Ron's sons and last chapter being a prelude to it. Seeing all of the Aman kings show up is however quite the surprise. (and a good one for most concerned). And they all speak English, and even normal English it is too! Speaking of Elrond, I'm glad seeing him here, he'll always be one of my favorite Elves. And Amarië is there and I don't think Finrod will let her go, and I would not be surprised if she was not willing to leave him again as well. I wonder who else will stay. How did all the Elves manage to arrive in Wiseman without as much getting noticed? Surely there are Maiar on the watch, (loved seeing Mánatamir again!) but still... I think so far, Glorfindel could have handled things once he was over the first shock, but Turgon being there was too much of a shock, or should we say surprise? He really feels he's loosing things here and Glorfindel concerned, that is not a good sign. I loved Ron both handling Glorfindel and Turgon. Finrod's handling of Turgon was perfect as well, the way it was followed b y the phone call to his 'boss'. It also shows Finrod to has come a long way since he came to Wiseman. As for Turgon, I would have said the process of dying and rebirth would have helped him getting rid of his arrogance. He seemed genuinely happy to meet Glorfindel when welcoming him at first, but I would not be surprised if the later's reaction brought up some old habits again and Ron's treatment of him didn't fell too well as well. And I guess the three Aman kings have seen the attitude quite a few times before judging by their reactions. And Glorfindel and Turgon will have a lot of things to talk out after the wedding for sure. Let's hope it will help them both. And on top of it, things have been noticed and the police is showing up to find out what is going on. Now what would the 10-Code for this be? I'm pretty sure after this, Dave Michaelson can help Glorfindel in founding the 'I hate surprises'-club! Author Reply: Hi FV_Whisper. There is certainly a lot going on in this chapter and a lot of high emotions as well so a multiple reading is probably a good idea. We will learn in the next chapter how the Elves arrived without anyone noticing and in a subsequent chapter we will learn more about Turgon after he was reborn and learn why he is the way he is. I don't think there is a 10-Code for this situation. Dave Michaelson will probably have to make one up. LOL! Thanks for reviewing (again). I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the chapter.

Oh, this was so fun to read, meldonya! What a wonderful surprise. I can just see Finrod taking off to find his wife. I'm sure that if she has anything to say about it, Amarie's not going to let him out of her sight ever again. The reactonss were perfect and I'm lookkingg forrwaard to what hhapppens next. Is there anny channcce thhat Legolas/Liam Prince iis on duty today? I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. You and your stories are on my list of things I am thankful for. I just put an addition onto the Cliff House's observation deck. There should be plenty of good seats for everyone to watch the fireworks from. I don't have any leftovers to donate but will bring a half dozen bottles of wine to share. Eru bless, Edlyn Author Reply: Hi Edlyn. I'm glad you enjoyed this and found everyone's reactions appropriate to the moment. We'll see where Legolas is in all this in the next chapter. Thank you for being a dedicated reader, though I know you can't always review. I appreciate your reviews when you can write them, but more importantly, I appreciate our friendship. Eru bless.

I went back and re-read "Lord Namo's Yule Gift". Good to know Turgon eventually got over... all that. (Well, I mean, I know it said he would in the story, I guess I mean it's nice to to see him looking a little more alive. Er, you know what I mean). Author Reply: Yes, I do, Sasha. LOL! Turgon still has some issues with Glorfindel and they will be addressed later in this story as you will see.

This is getting interesting, hoo boy... So are all those other elves there for a while, or are they taking the Vingilot Express home right after the wedding? Author Reply: Hi Sasha. They won't be leaving immediately. They'll be here for a couple of weeks. More than enough time to get themselves into trouble. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's appreciated.

Wow that was indeed a SURPRISE!!! I should say a GRAND SURPRISE of majestic proportions maybe! I had been hoping that Elrond and Celebrian would be coming, and even Celeborn and Galadriel, but this! All the royal houses of Aman, including the High King...is there anybody left back there? Poor Glorfindel (I seem to keep saying this), it was too much for him, having to worry about the implications in the socio-political atmosphere of Wiseman, and then meeting Turgon that way...I still remember that time in EI when he stole a horse and went to the Ezellohar to renew his life oath to Turgon. That incident stayed on my mind a long time and I have always wondered what kind of an ellon and a king Turgon was, to inspire such loyalty in Glorfindel. Well now finally we meet him, although under less than ideal circumstances as far as Glorfindel is concerned. Still, I hope we will get to know him better before he returns to Aman, if he does. Based on the first impression he has made so far, it would be difficult for him to adjust to life among the mortals, but then most of them are like that at first. It is good to meet Elrond again. I have always loved that Elf and I hope to read about him in the next few chapters. And I am happy for Finrod that he gets reunited with Amarie. And oh! Finally Nimrodel gets to show off her ultrasound results, in person hehe. But with all the drama of Glorfindel and Turgon, there was no time to meet Celeborn and Galadriel. Now that is one meeting I am hoping for. Oh, so many characters I hope to meet again! And even Manatamir, that master of disguise. I loved the way he traveled with Glorfindel incognito (at first) in EI2. I am so looking forward to Monday, and all the Mondays and Fridays for the rest of EA3, and even into EA4! Author Reply: Hi Celeth. Yes, quite the surprise. Turgon and Glorfindel have some unfinished business to get through and we'll see them dealing with certain issues between them and find out why Turgon is acting the way he is. As for the rest, well, let's just say that the rest of this story revolves around the Visitors and what they experience before, during and after the wedding. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Oh boy, what a surprise. With all that is going on with the election, having this influx of elves and some of their attitudes (Turgon) might not help the cause of the elves. The elf-haters will find a spin on this that will scare the people on the fence to go over to the elf-hater faction. For once I can understand Glorfindel's reaction. He has a hard enough time to get everything under control under normal circumstances and now with all the kings and entourage flooding into "his" territory, I can feel for him. I was expecting Elrond and Celebrian and maybe Amarie showing up, but the whole lot was more than I and, I think, our heroes were bargaining for. What was that about Elu's minstrel? I admit I only have a vague idea who Elu was, but Tristan was his minstrel? Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Yes, quite a surprise for them all and there will be consequences with all these people showing up as they have. Elu is Elu Thingol, king of Doriath, father of Lúthien and Olwë's brother. His minstrel was Daeron. Tristan was born three ages later. I hope that clears things up for you. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

I was remembering that song a couple of days ago. Heh! This would be a BIG shock to the system, and particularly to the people of Wiseman. Most interesting situation, but I AM glad Amarie is there with her beloved husband. As for Turgon--he needs to accept he's not much of anyone special now. Heh! Author Reply: Yes, it's a very BIG shock, Larner, but at least Finrod has Amarië now and I doubt he'll let her go. As for Turgon, well, that's another story. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Hi Fiondil The wait was worth it. Now I am really can't wait, to see what the good people think. I hope that a certain prince/police officers father turn"s up.( Are you sure that you can't through in Aragorn and company in?) He! He! That would really put Loren in a spin. So glad to see Turgon turn up. LOL Galathil Author Reply: Hi galathil. I'm glad you found the wait worth it. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Amarië! Yea :) And Elrond! Double yea :) But oh buddy, the problems they are having, and they are now having to explain how the new elves got there. Yikes! Author Reply: Hi Laer. I can see you doing a happy dance even now. LOL! Yes, they have problems galore as we will see. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Now THAT was entirely unsuspected!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that judgment would have stripped Turgon of his arrogance but obviously I was wrong. Poor Glorfindel :( :( :( That was very insensitive and very dangerous of the Valar, Glorfindel could have very easily slipped his leash and it was a heavy blow for him. I hope you plan to put Ecthelion in the picture, I bet that the meeting between him and Glorfindel will very dramatic :D ;) Cannot wait until the next chapter :D keep it up. Author Reply: Hi Amony. There is a reason for the way Turgon is acting here and we'll learn about it in subsequent chapters. I'm afraid Ecthelion won't be here. He's still back in Valinor. Perhaps someday he and Glorfindel will reunite. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
