| Atya, I hope that in the Presence there's still some sort of internet connection, so you can see how much I, and your other readers, still love this story, and love and respect you. This is a tale that's only growing more and more exciting, not to mention frightening in the telling. More explosives, more crazy Mortals - thank Eru for Legolas and the Wiseman police. I hope this all gets sorted, that the Mortals who were arrested get their heads on straight. Let's hope the Maiar provided a good example. Tye-melin, Atto Fiondil, always, through death and beyond. | Finally caught up to everything in this story (after a month offline) and am stunned with the way this piece is going! Crazy Mortal looney-tunes, bombs at SCHOOLS (this is not for elves ya dutzes, but for tourism, money in your pockets!), attempted burnings and murder followed with good measure a dollop of Maiar here and there and Eonwe. Oh and Gandalf. *blinks* This is one of those reads I do truly wish you could hear my thoughts and remarks, Fiondil Hir nin, because this story is becoming a tour de force! | |

| I think the fact that everyone is still leaving reviews is a fitting tribute to a thoroughly nice gentleman (they don't get made like Arthur these days) and a fine writer and researcher. I am the other person trying to help Ellie and Alassiel deal with the next story in the series and get it finished, but I know that wherever Fiondil is, he is seeing these reviews and wishing he could answer you in person. I wish he could too *sigh* | |

| What a wild ride this is turning out to be. Now I know what Fiondil meant several weeks ago when he said that the Maiar might not be as hands-off as they originally said they'd be. It's notable that the Elves think this was more for the Mortals' benefit. I can certainly see that being the case. Those doofuses trying to blow stuff up are going to end up in federal prison if they keep on with the C4 (where on earth did they even get that?) I don't feel right not reviewing the rest of this story, even though Fiondil won't be able to read them, so I'm going to keep up with it. It's so strange though, waking up to read and review a chapter on Friday was such a little but consistent thing that now it brings it home that he's no longer with us. I miss it and I miss him. | I was wondering where Officer Prince was in all that. So he got his own excitement too, huh? Though it is a good thing he isn't involved in rounding up the witnesses, conflict of interests there. Yeah, I can totally agree with Glorfi's worry. People(/Elves?) would be more reckless if they knew there were guardian angels around to get them out of most any trouble; however, perhaps a show of power was needed for some of the attackers who were more on the fence. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. Good to see the snatches of humor in the midst of a serious situation: "spoken like a true officer of the law," "show off," etc. I think I'm most amused that Legolas was annoyed when the people parked in illegal spaces, just trying to reconcile that to the chipper archer in the LOTR books. =) | |

| I enjoyed Fionwe in Legolas' story. I love how the Maiar seem to go out of their way to impress people with their powers in an offhand manner. I find it hilarious. ~Eruherdiriel | |

| I can certainly appreciate the concerns as to what their mortal friends (and enemies) may think as a result of divine intervention on the scale shown; but I'm rather glad that the Maiar were there to begin with. And I rejoice that Olorin took up a familiar form as he made his way from the Elf Academy buildings. Stupid rednecks, to think that they would be able to get away with such destruction and then some killings as well! I do hope they are all wiser than they were before this happened! | |

| Well, that answers my question about where Legolas was during the trouble in the last chapter. The coordination of the attacks and the presence of the C4 clearly shows that there's someone behind things other than just a few disgruntled locals. I hope Dave can track down the money and brains behind all this. I hope that many of the malcontents will rethink their position after facing bald words like "arson" and "attempted murder". I love the sword-wielding Olorin. I am quite sure it looked a lot like Glamdring. Actually, the Maia making a show of themselves now may be good. Display the overwhelming power now and it may help to prevent future stupidity. Although stupid can be resistant to common sense. FV-Whisperer, I think you may be on to something. I never would have thought of that! But of course, he's been with them for millennia, so I'm sure that is also a factor. | |
