Oh, is that sweet! :)
Did that plot bunny Dreamflower asked for, ever got written?
*looks around*

Author Reply: Thank you for reading this one and I'm glad you liked it. Sadly, this is another of the plot bunnies that I have meant to write but not had time for. Dreamflower always has such entertaining ideas and I never have enough time!

LOL! Lovely! *giggle* Pippin does indeed believe and remember everything Merry says. What a fun little story. :D

Author Reply: I am so glad that you enjoyed it. I thought Pippin would quote Merry often because he looked up to him so much.

Great story!
I liked the different reactions of Pippin's older sisters to his praise of Merry, especially that of Pervinca, only a little more and she would have "exploded" ;-)

On the other hand I'm admiring Frodo's patience and his seriousness. It seems Frodo has adapted "Pippin logic":
“But if Merry didn’t tell you and he is the only one who knows then who told you this amazing story about your cow?”
Now, even Pippin is speechless (for a split second) and finds nothing better to answer than "I can’t tell you that, Frodo."

And Merry is the only person who has not yet recognized how much his little cousin listens to him ... Just great!

Author Reply: Thank you so much. I am glad that you liked it. I think I would have been about as ready to explode as Pervinca after ablout the tenth or so mention of "Merry says" and so that was easy to write. It's the patient part that I had trouble with. LOL Thank you for reading this one!

Mmmm...Pippin is simply adorable. I love how all the previous incidences show how much Pippin trusts Merry to the point of believing the tale of the pony that was changed into a pony, but in the last "act" Merry himself doesn't seem to know this. Thanks for this; it's lovely.

Author Reply: Thank you for reading and reviewing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know little ones will believe almost anything if it is told my someone they adore and Pippin certainly adores Merry!

Dear, sweet Pippin. Yes, the authority on what Merry has to say indeed! Heh! No, Merry, he doesn't listen, does he? Heh!

Author Reply: You just never know the impression that you're leaving on others. Merry was looked up to and adored by his younger cousin, but at twenty, Pippin wasn't about to admit it. LOL

That was wonderful! Such a sweet story! And the ending was just perfect with Merry and Pippin arguing and Frodo watching on, amused.

Lovely story! :D

Author Reply: Thank you! So glad that you enjoyed it and thank you for stopping by to review. I enjoyed writing this one.

These are lovely portraits of how you depict young Pippin trusting his dearest Merry. LOL, Merry is always right no matter what! I'm willing to wager little Pip waited in the window the entire day for snow, and not once thought that Merry was pulling his leg. One of the many reasons why I love the relationship you portray between Merry and Pippin is because it reminds me of me and my sister when we were little. My sister could do no wrong (until she pushed the right buttons), and though I had my skeptical days, nearly everything she said was as good as gold.

You know, I have often imagined Paladin having a few years of bad luck with farming, too, but just don't have the agricultural wits to write about it. I'd like to see how you imagine it happening...bunny hopping your way. :-)

Author Reply: Thank you for the bunny and the review. That makes two bunnies that I have received from this little story. Dreamflower wants Gandalf to hear the cow/pony story with Merry and Pippin present and Frodo doing the story telling. Now you have given me the farming bunny! I may have some more writing to do!
So glad you enjoyed this one and that it reminded you of yourself and your sister. I am always pleased when something brings back a pleasant memory for someone reading.
I was just talking about our big breakfast adventure to a friend and it made me think of the symphony! I can't wait for that event. Looking forward to more of "Merry's Graduation" and your challenge story!

I happen to like the fluff! Fluff=happy readers. Then again, anything Merry and Pippin also=happy readers. :)

Author Reply: Well, I am very glad that you liked this. I enjoy a bit of fluff now and then myself as you can see and Merry and Pippin are my favorite fluff-targets! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. It encourages the fluff.

Awww! I feel all fluffy now. That is so typical of small children, to repeat everything a beloved older friend says. And also typical of an adolescent, to then ignore everything the beloved older friend says, or at least pretend to ignore it. Wonderful as always.

Author Reply: Thank you! So I made you all fluffy, did I? I warned you. LOL This idea just came to me last night and it had been a while since I'd written any Brandybuck and Took. I was beginning to think I'd come to the end of this series, but I guess not. Glad you enjoyed it!
