This was a lovely chapter. It started out so tense and with such love from Arwen and I like the way you ended it on a humorous note with the apple cake and the hobbits. Bravo!

Author Reply: Thank you! Anytime hobbits can lighten a mood (even when not physically present), it's a joy.

It was great to get back and find chapter 11 waiting to be read. And what a wonderful chapter too. It was a wonderful idea to make the strength of Arwen & Aragorn's love to be responsible for restoring him to health, and to have Arwen guiding him back to safety.

And the last line was absolutely delightful!

Author Reply: *grins* I do love that last line! Hobbits make everything better.

Love is the greatest force in the Universe, and no mistake.

Beautiful! I love the bond between Arwen and Aragorn and how you wove your own tapestry, bringing in that joyful moment on Cerin Amroth. *happy sigh* On to the last chapter. :-)

Author Reply: You sweetie. "Weaving a tapestry" is exactly what I try to do with these tales.

I missed when you posted this!

Oh what a sweet chapter. How scary you make it for Arwen bringing in the memory of Celebrian. How lovely to be back in Lothlorien with them! I loved when the cavern walls shattered. And what a cute ending to lighten the mood just right. (-:

Author Reply: Thank you! There's nothing like hobbits (or the thought of them) to lighten even the darkest moment. I'm so happy you enjoyed this chapter... it was one of the more difficult ones to write.

I just loved this chapter and to see Arwen lead Aragorn safely back. What a great idea to use her to help him.

Author Reply: Thank you so much. What a joy for all of them that Aragorn has been guided safely 'home'.

That particular part of the appendix is my favourite and I used to wish that Tolkien had written that as a proper part of the trilogy instead of just in the appendix :)

Lovelovelove it that Arwen used that particular memory of them together to bring Aragorn back from the darkness. ::LOVES::

Author Reply: Thank you! I began this chapter with only vague ideas, and let it take me where it needed to go.

Aragorn smiled sleepily. “I smell apple cake.”

That, certainly made me laugh! I just love how hobbits are able to bring out the blissful innocence of joy and laughter to us all. Great chapter! Keep it coming! :)

Author Reply: Thank you! I love weaving the delightful nature and influence of hobbits into my tales.

Oh, that last line is perfect... never forget those hobbits! That was adorable.

This chapter was so full of renewal and light and sweetness... I thoroughly enjoyed it. Arwen picked the perfect memory for them... what a beautiful image you created of that. Thank goodness Aragorn responded to it! Poor thing!

This chapter gave me a joyous feeling---that's something I really do love about your writing. It made me feel good through and through.

Author Reply: Your enjoyment gives *me* a joyous feeling, Lily.

Hopefully our beloved characters don't mind what we put them through, because it allows those who love them to 'show their quality' and then pour on the TLC. :)

What a beautiful chapter! Yes, indeed that memory of Cerin Amroth would bring him around if anything would. Arwen is so strong here, as she draws the picture for him that he needs to remember. I love your portrayal here of their interaction, and how Aragorn trusted her to lead him out of danger.

And I hope he enjoys his apple cake!

Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this. Arwen would have to be a strong person to endure the loss of so much, and grow into the helper and partner King Elessar would need. It's wonderful that they found one another (with Galadriel's help, of course).

Apple cake is one of the few things I know how to make... but I'm sure my recipe can't compare with that of Rivendell's bakers. :)

It is well that he was finally called forth by love. And of course he'd know the Hobbits had been there by the evidence of his senses, now he's back to himself! Lovely!

Author Reply: Called forth by love... a most powerful Call indeed.

Thank you!
