So for once Námo had a willing student and the Twins have an aunt, who is younger than they. Beautiful and clever Nell.
If she is somebody like the famous Nell Gwyn, the life will be interesting.

Author Reply: Hi Serindë. Námo must've been tickled pink when Nielluin came to him. And Nell is quite an interesting character, but she does have a few faults, arrogance being one of them, as we will see. I'm afraid she takes herself too seriously. Anyway, thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

It should be the trees saying 'welcome to Alaska'. And another daughter of Celeborn and Galadriel's what a great surprise. Smart and sensible. Quite a contrast to her male peers!

Author Reply: LOL! I can just see that, too. And Nielluin is her mother's daughter as we will see. She's not as smart as she seems here, believe me, and she has her own learning curve to tackle, but certainly she's nobody's fool, not even the Valar's. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Nielluin is my new hero... I just love here spirit and I can't wait to see what kind of trouble she is going to get into...

Author Reply: Hi Calenlassiel. I think a lot of people are enjoying Nielluin. We'll see what (if any trouble) she gets into soon enough. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Beleg and Legolas are there, too! Yay! That's getting better and better! (And it calls for an archery contest somewhere down the road).

Oh, we have descendants of Beleg and Sador and Alassiel, too! Great! But the biggest surprise was most definitely Nielluin. Who'd have thought Galadriel and Celeborn would give Celebrían a little sister, even if it wasn't exactly planned? The faces of Elrohir and Elladan must have been priceless!

And what a smart one! When I did read her first words, I somehow stumbled over them and went to re-read them – until I realised what was wrong with them: That nothing was wrong, lol!

Looks like Glorfindel shouldn't have said so loudly that he and Daeron are too old for a relationship *grin* They just hadn't found the right ellith – yet!

It's fun to find out who else has come – and to find out who's a descendant of whom. Already started a new list to keep track of original names, ancestry and – later – 'mortal' name to keep track of the new Elves. Though I have to admit, to keep the generations straight is going to be hard. Not going to try another family tree, lol.

Talking with the new Elves about what to expect was a good idea. Their own world is still pretty medieval and formal, as it seems, so they need to know that our times, and America maybe even more so, are very different in some regards. Our times are so much less respectful of their elders and more indepedent than they are used too.

Just wondering ... if they can get Amroth off the hook and then Alex out of the Agency as well, maybe they could make use of Alex and Derek's special knowledge and talents to protect the Academy better? And besides, they now have a good number of additional Elven warriors at hand. They may not know anything about modern day weapons, but they should still be good at sneaking up on enemies or even taking them out in some way, if necessary.

Pity the three stooges didn't hear what Vorondur said, maybe that would give them something to think about. And I am glad the two Mortals got along so well with the older Elves.

Let's hope the three can behave overnight. And they're going to be quite amazed about what the Mortals have achieved, I suspect. They were impressed by just driving through Wiseman, apparently. Now I have to wonder how it is going to work to introduce them to modern electronic equipment and all that! Electric light, computers ... and even modern-day bathrooms have some suprprises in store for them, from the looks of it. Should do something to teach them humility, I hope.

Author Reply: Hi Kitty. I figured people would be happy to see Beleg and Legolas again. And we get the other Legolas as well and there are several others who are known to readers of my stories, though we won't know who they all are immediately, so keep the list handy; you'll need it.

As for Amroth, Alex and Derek teaming up, we'll have to see how things go. They still need to deal with Farrell and all.

We'll see in the next chapter how the three amigos do once they start interacting with the Mortals at the Academy.

Thanks for reviewing. It's always appreciated.

Oh, this was such a fun chapter! THE Beleg and Manwen and the Legolasses and Nielluin(!!!!! - loved the twins reaction) and... Absolutely love Nielluin - beauty and brains, indeed. She's something else - poor Derek! And Daeron... too old to fall in love, eh? Uh huh... Is there a Maiarin version of Cupid?

I'm glad for your reassurances of an uneventful stay in the reading room, because I'd have been biting my nails all weekend wondering just what havoc those three would wreck in the five hours they'd be there alone!

Author Reply: Hi Lyana. It was a fun chapter to write and I'm glad you enjoyed it. *grin* I promise that the Three Amigos will not encounter any stray students in the reading room. I, frankly, didn't want to deal with that kind of complication. As we will see in the next chapter, introducing them to the students at Elf Academy will present its own problems. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Two Legoas's!!! Be still my heart. If only this were real. I would definitely schedule a trip to Alaska

Author Reply: Hi Tari. LOL! I'm sure you and many other readers would do just that. Thanks for reviewing. It's always appreciated.

It is a most interesting situation for the newcomers. So, Celebrian has a sister, does she? Good! Sounds as if it's been interesting!

Author Reply: A most interesting situation, indeed, Larner. And I'm sure Celebrían was just thrilled to have a little sister, once she got over the shock, of course. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I great appreciate it.

Legolas is there! and Beleg! and everybody, well taht it is what it seems. I'm with Derek, I can't remember all the names. And a mini Galadriel, Hmm....
OK, now to see how the world welcome the new elves....

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Yes, Legolas is here and Beleg and many others but not everyone, not yet. We'll see how some of the people of Wiseman react to having more Elves in their midst as we progress with the story. Thanks for commenting. I very much appreciate it.

Hello, hello!

A few notes on previous chapters that I didn't get to:
I find it a bit weird that Elves don't have their own form(s) of open-hand/non-weapon martial art. Weapons are great and all, but you've gotta think that no matter how careful or prepared one tries to be, sometimes you're going to be caught by surprise.

At first, I kind of wrote off Findalaure's rudeness, but leaving Alex and Derek alone in the cold, snowy woods? Ach. What a di---erm. Jerk. ;) Granted, he probably didn't know how very dangerous that was for the humans, but still. Ditching them? Come on. Findalaure and friends are way, way, WAY to old to be pulling that childish stunt.

I do think that Finrod's punishment was just. Although...I'm not sure I would want the three amigos to attend on me if I was Alex or Derek. I'd just want them to leave me alone.

OK and so for this chapter:

Agh, all these familiar faces! Beleg! And Legolas! And Legolas! Legoli? ;) Some interesting ellith too. Melyanna for one (might Daeron possibly have a little crush? ;), and then there's Nielluin, who might be one of my new favorite characters. She's a clever one...and devious too! Good on her, figuring out Aule and Ulmo and then getting Namo's help. As Lynda said, he probably was all too happy to help her. :P On the fact that she's the Twins' aunt yet younger than them...I've always imagined that that was not particularly unusual among Elves and leads to some, er, convoluted family trees. XP

Now I feel like I'm doing a review on your reviews, but Sunny is so right. If I had insomnia and went down to the reading lounge to discover three very beautiful ellyn there...hoo boy. That'd be a pleasant surprise. I might think I was dreaming. XD

We haven't heard from our little buddy Farrell in a while...I got a feeling he might be brewing some unpleasant surprises for our friends soon.

Great update...Can't wait to see Monday's!

Whispy

(PS: Zip-lining wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, and was actually really fun. It was a really good thing I'm not afraid of heights, though!)

Author Reply: Hi Whispy. I'm glad you survived the zip-lining.

As for your question about the Elves having their own version of the martial arts, one must remember that our martial arts were originally developed in China by monks as a meditation technique but eventually became popular among the peasants who were not allowed to carry weapons but needed to defend themselves from attack by the local warlord's warriors. And so they spread. In a society where swords and other weapons are simply available to all and sundry, the need for unarmed defense techniques would not necessarily develop, at least I would imagine that would be the case.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this present chapter, especially Nielluin. She's definitely Galadriel's daughter as we will see in later chapters and that is not necessarily a good thing. *grin*

Farrell is still around and we'll be seeing him eventually as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read and review. It's very much appreciated.

Ooops, I meant Aule and Ulmo! Sorry Irmo for taking you name in vane, please don't send me any weird dreams, I get enough of them any way, I don't need any more!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Oh, that's alright, Lynda I know some people can easily confuse the Valar at times. I've even done it myself. I wouldn't worry about it too much. *grin*
