| This chapter was so wonderful! I especially loved the quiet conversation at the end between Manwe and Pippin. I can remember lying in bed with my sisters when I was little, or across the room from my roommate (who is still my best friend) in college, and talking long into the night. They are good memories that that make me smile, and your descriptions here did too. Such a simple, everyday scene...it complemented their discussion of Olorin's simple, everyday song very nicely. :-) I've reached the end of what there is! I can't even tell you how much I have loved this story -- it definitely ranks as a favorite. Thanks so much for the time and effort you have put into it, and for continuing despite everything real life throws at you. I will be looking forward to the next chapter, whenever it may appear. | I'm so enjoying this whole bit! It's great that these two have some leisure time to spend together, and equally great that they're spending it as Hobbits. :-) It's so very good to have someone to just talk to -- to work through things out loud with someone who can reflect and reassure, but who can also be truthful and knows when not to try and 'fix' things. A sibling gives each the perfect opportunity to feel free to be completely themselves.... Thanks so much for writing! :-) | |

| I was almost glad to see the idea of a personal grudge brought up here, if only as *some sort* of explanation for Lintamacar. He's really starting to get on my nerves -- come one, dude, everybody's got to give a little bit here -- but the grudge thought at least makes it seem a little less arbitrary. I mean, I get it, and I know that there are personalities that see insult where there is none intended...but whew... :-P Hopefully they can get this all straightened out, whatever misunderstanding there is (on whichever side) can be smoothed over, and he can learn to be happy again... | |
