Yes, dealing with this small Took can be--difficult! Heh!

Author Reply: Poor Bilbo! I did give him a rough job in this story, didn't I?

I'd search first where the knee was hurt, myself.

So, two thievings of this coin, eh? And Pippin's logic remains a befuddlement? Why am I not surprised? Heh!

Author Reply: Again, I can't believe you're reading this and you're reviewing it too! Is this part of a punishment you've received or maybe you're doing this on a dare? Yes, Pippin's logic is still the same as always. Much as mine is really. Thank you for reviewing! It's fun to get reviews on an old story.

Looking forward to reading this.

Author Reply: You have surprised me! Do you know how old this is?

Grey Wonderer, I've just begun this story but I already love it! This is only the second of yours I've discovered but will be reading more. You have a lovely way of writing the hobbits, thank you for a great read! Cathleen

Author Reply: Thank you for reviewing this little story. I appreciate it. This one connects to several others but you can read this one without reading any of the others. Thank again and I hope you enjoy the rest of this one.

oh, now don't i just feel silly? sorry...but i re-read the chapter that was getting me all confused and discovered one silly word that i had apparently missed and made all the difference.sorry about that...

hello...just to thought to say that i enjoy your stories very very much so thank you!

however, i am a wee bit confused about this last few parts. you started the story with merry being mad with pip for losing his coin and so on. but then, came the story abt pippin being stuck on the tree and merry and frodo coming to his rescue. is this a flashback from when pip lost the coin or what? i'm just terribly confused. because isn't the dare the reason why pip took the coin? and he did mention to merry that the coin was missing. am i missing something?

i hope you'll be able to clear this up for me. please and thank you!

I lvoed this! You write some of the most intriguing stories! Something I like is how you tie in so many different little aspects into different stories. Little things like the quilt or mentioning something from one story in another, it makes it all really work well together! I like how you write Merry and Pippin fighting but still being so close, just like real sibling! Thank you for such fun stories they are always a joy to read, although it seems that when I started reading them I started at the wrong place ;)

Author Reply: LOL, sorry you got started in the wrong place, but I hope you were still able to piece this all together. I am so glad you like the little details in this. I was trying to connect it back to "Thinking of You" by using things from that story and putting them in this one. I wrote "Thinking of You" first and then decided to do this one about the coin.
Thank you for the wonderful review and I am so glad you enjoyed Merry and Pippin in this. Please come back and read any time!

Yes, this is such a sweet story. Out of pain and the darkness of the Ring.

And oh, thank you very much for mentioning my name. For those who read this message, I didn't do anything much, really!

Waiting for your next story, GW!

Author Reply: Oh, trust me, you did something and it helped in a big way. I thank you for that and for reading. Hope to have something else starting before too long! Thank you again!

I like it that Merry finally forgives Pippin. But the little thing - oh, no! Stealing?? He really needs someone to watch over him!

Will read the next chapter soon! Please be patient.

Author Reply: Take your time. I have finished this one and am inbetween stories so I am just relaxing a bit.

My guess is that Bilbo found it and put it there. He's a smart fellow, and if he found the coin, he would have guessed it was what Pippin was looking for! I guess I'm just as practical as Frodo :P

A wonderful ending to your story! You certainly have a fanastic style of writing that is fun to read! One of my favourite parts in this story was the naming of Pippin talk. Pippish! Loved it!

Keep on writing - I'll be watching for a new story :)

Author Reply: Many thanks for all of your reviews! You guess about Bilbo might just prove to be right. I am thinking of doing a couple more stories involving the coin in some small way and so I haven't made up my mind about how it really came to be on Merry's desk. Bilbo is, of course, on my list of suspects.

I gave Pippin such an odd way of getting to the point in this that I thought it deserved a name. Glad you liked that bit. Pippish will return also. I always say, if it works once use it again. Take care!
