| Hi There.... I'm relatively new to this site, having only been a member for the last couple of months. Having said that I must first of all say that I am a reader,(and an avid one at that, especially of Merry and Pippin stories), not an author (having no talent whatsoever in that department) and this is my very first review.... I must say that I come onto this site every day to read the wonderful stories that are posted here, and I find myself just lately, consistently looking for updates of your stories, and I am most dissappointed when I find that there aren't any for that day. I find your stories very sweet, cute and in places (but in the right places) very funny. There is also just the right amount of angsty stuff as well. I love the way that your Merry and Pippin are portrayed when they were young, and I can imagine the looks on their faces as they go through each and every plot line and speech that you write.... I don't review very often, and when I do, I only reveiw what I see to be very good stories, and yours have been keeping me on the edge of my computer chair. In fact my rear end is getting quite sore now. I particulaly enjoyed 'Thinking of You' and this current one 'The Wizards Coin'.... Please keep writing all these wonderful stories, I do so look forward to them. By the way I love your username.... I love to write, but haven't been doing this very long so I am still working out the bugs. Your review will encourage me to keep posting. I plan to come here and read it when I need a lift! One of my favorite scenes in The Two Towers is when Gandalf calls Shadowfax! I love that horse! | Hurray! I certainly didn't expect you to start on this so soon, but I am gald that you did! A wonderful start to what looks to be a fabulous story. This second chapter was especially good - I always love Bilbo and Pippin interactions. Continue soon! Author Reply: Thank you! I like Pippin and Bilbo together also. I just enjoy Bilbo in general. My first experience with Tolkien was THE HOBBIT and so I am very fond of dear ole Bilbo! | |

| POOR BILBO!!!! I think I know why he decided to leave the very next year. A day like that would age anyone, despite the Ring's power over them. :) Again, it was a wonderful chapter and I really enjoyed it (a good laugh at Bilbo is always interesting. He's such a dignified person as opposed to Pip.) There was only one thing that you might already know, but I'm going to point out anyway. It was only in the movie that Bilbo was Frodo's uncle. In the book they were cousins. Just in case you didn't know. I don't think anyone would begrudge you leaving it the way it is if you would rather. Keep up the good work. Author Reply: I think I might leave the Shire after that one as well. I enjoy Bilbo so much as you never know what he is going to get into with his sense of adventure and all. Hope that there are more laughs in this one. Keep your fingers crossed. As to the Uncle thing, I know that they are cousins, but in the first part of the book at the party Bilbo says, "For it is, of course, also the birthday of my heir and nephew, Frodo."(Tolkien) I admit that I didn't explain the relationship at all and I should do so. Left out a bit of family who's- related-and-how this time, but might need to put that in somewhere just to clear things up. You are right, though, the movie let's it stand at Uncle, and in the book for the most part, Frodo calls him dear old Bilbo. I think in the book, it is Bilbo who refers to himself as Frodo's uncle. So hard to keep straight! LOL | |

| Poor Pippin! Poor Frodo! Poor, poor Bilbo!! You had me giggling so much that Coriel finally couldn't stand it anymore and just had to ask me what it was. But, like Bilbo, I found it hard enough just to understand what he was saying, much less explain it to someone else! So Coriel is still rather in the dark. :) So far this story is wonderful! Luckily for me, the eighteen year old in our family isn't the normal eighteen year old. Coriel never wanted to be that old, and I know I never want to be that old, but it's scary how time sneaks past, isn't it? Anyway, I hope Merry turns nineteen sometime soon. ;) Author Reply: Glad this one gave you a laugh. My last one was so sad most of the time that I am trying to lighten the mood. Don't worry about not being able to explain it, I doubt I could explain it myself and I wrote it! LOL I think eighteen is a difficult age for humans as it is when alot of them leave home for college and are out on their own for the first time. There is so much pressure. None of this would apply to Hobbits, but I just decided to give Merry growing pains in this one. LOL | |

| I love this story. Perhaps you are updating as I'm writing these reviews?? That scene with Bilbo and Pippin walking in at lunch all filthy with dirt--that was not only cute, but hysterical! And Saradoc's little comment! I WILL be back! Pippinfan Author Reply: There should be more of this madness at least by tomorrow. | This is soooo cute! Wizard language, befuddlement...very well written--and so is "Road"! Ah, yes...Pippin the burglar! G.M.T.A. I'm just amazed that someone else writes about the same issues though somewhat in reverse, and I love it because you have different angles--your own 'thumbprint'. You have got to write more stories!! I will always be around to read them...yours and Pearl's! Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind words. I enjoy writing but I never know if I am writing anything that anyone else will enjoy until it goes up here.
