Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!  by Grey Wonderer 16 Review(s)
Reviewed Chapter: 34 on 6/6/2005
What a sweet, lovely story! The Merry-Pippin relationship is touching and true without being sugary. Very nice!

One small punctuation thing: You don't need commas before adverbs, e.g. "he said gently."

Author Reply: Thanks for reading and reviewing and I am glad that you enjoyed this one.

Author Reply: Some may say that I have kept this particular series up for far too long. LOL Glad you liked it and thank you so much for reviewing. That's why there are so many of these Merry and Pippin stories to begin with, 'everyone has been so wonderful about revieiwng.' Thank you.

How do you do it? Be so very funny and so very sweet and the same time? I love your Merry and Pip, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon either.

Author Reply: I write them like a couple of eighteen-year-old males. LOL Guys will say anything to each other and there is rarely any perminate offense taken. Somehow, the phrase, 'you stubborn twit' can become an endearment in their world. Thanks so much for encouraging my little stories and I am glad that you enjoy them.

Author Reply: Thank you!I do enjoy a bit of name-calling from time to time. LOL

There was a slight pause and then Pippin said, “The older hobbit isn’t going to quite yammering on is he?”

“No,” Merry said. “And the younger hobbit isn’t going to quit being so bone-head and listen to reason anytime soon, is he?”

“No,” Pippin said, softly.

Gotta love these cousins! What a wonderful relationship.

Author Reply: They may be a bit insulting at times, but they look out for one another no matter what. Thanks for your kind words and the review.

Delightful! I love your Merry and Pippin ficlets, GW. The bantering here is wonderful and humorous, and I love how they so obviously love each other behind the insults. :)

Author Reply: I think that's a guy thing. Guys are never completely nice to one another verbally even if they are the best of friends. I'm so pleased that you liked it and thank you for reading!
