Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!  by Grey Wonderer 11 Review(s)
shireboundReviewed Chapter: 58 on 8/14/2007
“When you were very little you would come flying into my room and throw yourself into my bed and cover your ears with your hands. You’d say, ‘Make it stop, Merry. Make the storm be gone.’ And I’d feel brave and important.”

Awwww! What a lovely story. Our lads are grown, but they're still our Merry and Pip... able to do for one another what no one else ever could, or ever will.

Author Reply: Thank you. I do like Merry as the protector but I thought this made Pippin important too because Merry drew strength from Pippin needing him. I do believe that sometimes if others think you're brave it makes you act the part! I'm glad you liked it. I do think Merry and Pip were always a team just as Frodo and Sam were always there for one another.
