Fliewatuet's Flimsy Ficlets  by fliewatuet 52 Review(s)

I've read this drabble before; and it hasn't lost its luster - smooth and subtle as Denethor on his best day, and shiny and alluring as a scale on Smaug's gleaming hide.

Author Reply: And I am still glad that you like it! I figured after four years of vain attempts to figure out Thorongil, Denethor was about to try something new.

- smooth and subtle as Denethor on his best day, and shiny and alluring as a scale on Smaug's gleaming hide. Wonderfully phrased! I'll read and reread this review over and over again for this phrase alone :-)

I really enjoyed these drabbles -- every evocative! Thanks for writing and posting them.

Author Reply: I am glad you like them ... and your review reminds me of still having to finish 'The Green Knight'. Somehow, Real Life interfered in the middle of the story and I never managed to catch up ... but I have every intention of doing so (and then I'll try to get my hands on a copy of Ivanhoe again ;-))

Thanks for the review,
