| Oh my! Paladin is so aggravating. He *knows* he's in the wrong. Will he admit it? Uh-uh. I still wish Merimac had punched him in the nose and got him drunk. I love the way you have woven Pippin's dreams in with the dialogue from the books, and the way Merry responds. Very beautifully done! Author Reply: Or got him drunk and punched him in the nose? Does the order matter? Good old Merimac, I hope you enjoyed his swan's song. I'm very fond of him and already trying to figure out how to fit him into Rosemary's story. Perhaps he's the "passing Brandybuck" who hauled Ferdi out of the Water? (Or did I just lose you? Sorry, was thinking aloud.
