| It must have been wonderful for Sam, even in the midst of the depression and grief that is a part of losing someone you love more deeply than any other, to know that there was a place to go and heal in the company of his dearest of dear friends. Oh, I really have to stop now, or I'll make us late for the next bus out of heere...to wherever it is we're going...;) But even though I'm happy and excited about going out to have fun for an evening, a part of me wishes I could just sit right here and read! | Aww! I've heard/read the Ring and its destruction compared to a rape of Frodo - in fact, I remember you making such comparisons many times. But I don't think I really understood that until now. Yes, it would be like nothing so much as that. Your portrayal is chilling, but lovely of the forgiving love that at least begins the healing process right there at the mountain. | I love this. You wrote the dream very well - I always have to think about those when I write them and usually freak myself out haha! :) I love the way you wove it into the rest of the story in a poetic way, and, even though this might sound strange, I love that you ended with the hope of healing rather than the healing itself. It kept the tone of the whole piece true. Of course, I loved the little scene with Frodo and Sam. :) I have a busy evening; my roommate/one of my best friends and I are going out a little belatedly, at her insistence, for my birthday. But I've decided that I'll start catching up by working backward through these until chapter 16, which is the last one I seem to have read. After that, you'll have to direct me, because I've been out of it for so long! Can't wait for your e-mail! :D Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this one, ammelda!
