omg this is so touching! Tears, man, tears! very nice drabble! Heart-breaking really to read about such a time when the going gets very tough for both hobbits!

Author Reply: Thank you, my dear, you honor me! Glad you enjoyed. *hugs*

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is beautiful-- wonderfully written and described and i feel the light that Sam is trying to follow and your light is symbolic or represents different things which is truly accurate.

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm happy that it touched you. :)

Very cleverly done Antane. This gave me a lovely gentle laugh. Great use of the title.

Author Reply: Hantanyel, my dear! Wonderful to get another review from you and glad I was able to provide some entertainment. :) When I saw the title I couldn't resist extending the argument these two love to have. I love imagining their reaction when they wake up and see themselves even more covered than they were when they went to sleep!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Sweet! Of course they both deserved it.

Author Reply: Of course! But try to tell that to those stubborn hobbits... Imagine what their reaction will be when they wake and see themselves covered in even more purple. :) :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane *hugs*

Turn and turn about -- but the King has the last word.

Author Reply: Yep and I love thinking about their reaction when they wake up! :)

No, he would not--would NEVER--find himself climbing alone!

Author Reply: Indeed! I look forward to when I can write more fully of this once more.

It must have been wonderful for Sam, even in the midst of the depression and grief that is a part of losing someone you love more deeply than any other, to know that there was a place to go and heal in the company of his dearest of dear friends.

Oh, I really have to stop now, or I'll make us late for the next bus out of heere...to wherever it is we're going...;) But even though I'm happy and excited about going out to have fun for an evening, a part of me wishes I could just sit right here and read!

Author Reply: Well, maybe you can give into that part soon and just wallow in all you missed and I can wallow in the joy that you are back and are enjoying! *hugs and more hugs*

Aww!

I've heard/read the Ring and its destruction compared to a rape of Frodo - in fact, I remember you making such comparisons many times. But I don't think I really understood that until now. Yes, it would be like nothing so much as that. Your portrayal is chilling, but lovely of the forgiving love that at least begins the healing process right there at the mountain.

Author Reply: Being a mistress of angst, speaking to another mistress (or at least former mistress and perhaps once and future one?) I thank you for enjoying if such would the right word here. :)

I love this. You wrote the dream very well - I always have to think about those when I write them and usually freak myself out haha! :) I love the way you wove it into the rest of the story in a poetic way, and, even though this might sound strange, I love that you ended with the hope of healing rather than the healing itself. It kept the tone of the whole piece true. Of course, I loved the little scene with Frodo and Sam. :)

I have a busy evening; my roommate/one of my best friends and I are going out a little belatedly, at her insistence, for my birthday. But I've decided that I'll start catching up by working backward through these until chapter 16, which is the last one I seem to have read. After that, you'll have to direct me, because I've been out of it for so long! Can't wait for your e-mail! :D

Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this one, ammelda! I wrote this in the living room while hanging out with my nieces and nephews this summer and really enjoyed writing it. These challenges are fun to write. :)

Never fear I will direct you to more. *hugs*
