In book 1 I cried because the horse died and in book 2 I cried because Oropher died and here we are in book 3 and you have already reduced me to tears! A very very canonical and well written account of thranduil. I hope to see more from you soon.

Thank you for the detail you put into your characterization of Thranduil. Even though he is strong, I'm so relieved for him that he doesn't have to carry this encounter with Sauron alone. Not sure how Galadriel knew, but I'm glad she did. And Radagast came to his help. Ha! Take that, Sauron!

Thank you so much for updating! Bless Radagast for helping Thranduil. I have always liked Thranduil more than the other elves because he had to constantly fight to keep his home and had no magic rings to help him. I like that he and Galadriel were able to talk without arguing. It probably helped him to talk about it. Thanks again for updating! :)

The last two chapters were so hard to read. To lose someone you love more than life would be unbearable. However, because there are so many that depend upon him, Thranduil must carry on.

I'm so addicted to this story, that I find it hard to stop reading. Soon I'll be up to your last chapter.

I do hope you finish the last part of this trilogy. Book II was so very sad and heartbreaking. I do hope there is some joy in Book III. This explains to me why Thranduil acted the way he did in the Hobbit. It's a great fill in for JRRT's writings.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I do want to finish it, maybe even do a Book IV. You help me stay motivated!

I liked the bonding time between Thranduil and Celeborn. I could totally relate to catching up with relatives or friends you once knew very well but had not seen in a while. They seem to get along very well together.

The beginning of the chapter broke my heart for Thranduil. I am glad he had Gwaelas there to keep an eye on him the next morning. I always look forward to reading more! Thank you for the update!

Well, wasn't that a pleasant, non-stressful little chat? It's amazing how much better things can go when everyone isn't glaring and things insults at each other... Good for him for his reaction and hospitality. Hopefully things can stay on friendly terms for a while. With all those strong Elven personalities, one never knows.... :-P

Thanks for writing!
