| Námo’s pet Balrog-slayer? *lol* Truly, I love the tone of conversation among the Valar! At first I shared Glorfindel’s doubts about the surprise, but now I am touched. All the Valar and Maiar celebrating Glorfindel’s begetting day was truly sweet. And I think he needed this positive experience after all the excitement. I’m glad you posted three chapters in one day, so we were not left with any cliffhangers but with a nice end. Author Reply: I'm glad you liked this chapter and the way the Valar speak with one another. I've tried to show them as being more than stiff, holier-than-thou types but real people with real emotions no less than the rest of us. And yes, Glorfindel needed all the positive encouragement and love that the Valar and everyone else are willing to shower on him at this point. As Manwë said, he's had a busy time of it, though he now has no memory of it. | |
