| I wish it could have been this way - that Frodo never needed to leave and had been with his Sam all that time and that Aragorn saw him again too. And now Sam is back with both sides of his heart. A blow for Frodo-lad and the clan but still hopefully a happiness that Sam is happy. Love the little automatic wave back, a goodbye. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: I'm sure Frodo-lad understood that it was Sam's time to go. The hobbits are a rural people, close to Nature and the seasons, and I'm sure they are philosophical about partings. So glad you enjoyed it. | |

| Bronwe Athan Harthad. Every little hobbit child knew what that meant. A copy of the Red Book was now in every Shire school and there was a magnificent copy in the Great Library at Michel Delving, which was opened by King Elessar on Frodo's seventy-fifth birthday. The other marker just said:- Rose Gamgee, wife and mother, 1384 - 1482. No Rose more beautiful. Oh my, how lovely. And this is the gentle, sweet passing that dear Sam deserves. Author Reply: No-one deserves this peace more than Sam. To just step gently from one world to another is what we all wish for those we love.
