This story is such a delight, thank you for writing another chapter! I loved to see Elladan and Aragorn singing Bilbo's bathing song!

Your description of the plant-covered area was so catching, I felt as though I was there myself. The pearl dust is so fascinating and such a good find! Wow!

The damp cloth Aragorn gives to Frodo to cover his mouth is also such a thoughtful gesture, especially with one short hobbit, and two tall companions. This is some amazing piece of writing, Shirebound! Well done!

Author Reply: Goodness, thank you very much. And we hear so much about Elvish singing, it's fun to imagine one singing a hobbity song!

He had to admit that he was growing quite curious, himself.

Quite curious? Well, as for me make that very, extremely, excessively..... curious!

Author Reply: We're nearly there, at last! *grins*

“Why do you think anyone built a tunnel into a hill? The folk who lived here weren’t hobbits, after all,” Frodo said.

LOL!!! I love Frodo and his questions! They show his intelligence, but this one is also very funny. It seems to be impossible for a hobbit to imagine men building a tunnel ;-)

And "Hooray" for Scamp! She did it again! Clever puppy.

Now I'm curious to find out what lies behind that door.

You know, there was a secret door at the Paths of the Dead which Aragorn had no time to go through and investigate. But this time no one is hindering him! I like that!

Author Reply: Frodo may be young, but he's very clever and is a most unusual, inquisitive hobbit. He's such fun to write.

I never imagined it would take me so many chapters to finally get us to that hidden door. Now to see what's behind it...

Three cheers for Scamp! What fun for Frodo to have this adventure. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's so nice to see him young and innocent and beautiful and excited.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It's nice for me, too, Antane! This is the young Frodo I love to imagine -- happy, intelligent, curious, and surrounded by love. Thank you so much.

Frodo proves once more he is no ordinary hobbit. The "luck" of the Bagginses, that helped Bilbo--"chance if chance you call it"--is definitely with him!

I am as eager as the three of them to see what's behind that door!

Author Reply: There certainly is something special about the Bagginses... and their little dog, too! I can't wait to get chapter 12 written, so we can *all* see what's been waiting to be re-discovered for all these years.

Well, that was yet another lovely chapter. *hugs*

Loved Elladan giving credit to both Frodo and Aragorn for their parts in finding the door, and I can't wait to see what's behind it!

Author Reply: Awww, thank you. Even someone as old as Elladan hasn't experienced everything, especially when it comes to a certain very special hobbit.

This series is such a gentle, happy place for me to play.
